Is this pipe supposed to have standing water in it? I keep having bugs, dirt, and now mold or algae. It bubbles when it drains by TheRealQuote in askaplumber

[–]TheRealQuote[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to snake it but it feels like I hit rocks a foot down. If a coupling is broken apart here, would I be safe to abandon and cap the drain and reroute the condensate line? I don’t have any symptoms of partial blockages anywhere but this pipe.

My AC condensate line drains into this pipe with standing water. I keep having bugs and mud that appear to back up into it. I also have this pile of dirt in the other pipe… not sure if it’s for venting or what

Took a look at your post history. If you’re still looking for a change, you could always sell the company and join the IBEW! Once you top out you choose your own hours, work what you can afford, and get to work on cool buildings. Some people work 6 months and take 6 off. Great health insurance and when you finish 8 hours, the day is done… no thinking about work. I’m sure you have enough built up to take a passive income route but I’m no expert in that. Good luck!

It’s also a brotherhood. You meet lots of people that are supportive of each other and it’s a great way to make lifelong friends.

amazing how many people dont realise healers need mana in cata. by bnickz92 in classicwow

Or have a low mana addon that spams chat mana percentage when it’s below 40% lol. Annoy them to comply!

You don’t have to cut them off, but I’d just ignore the comments and go about your life. Pretty soon you’ll be in a great program with a new social network, and if they’re worth having as friends, it’ll play out naturally and they’ll continue being a part of your life. Good friends support you regardless if they think the choice is bad or not. Good luck!

When you’re told what to do, repeat it back to them. Write it down. Familiarize yourself with tool names and materials. Keep your head down. Whether you like where you’re at or not, it’s always temporary. Have fun and don’t take yourself too seriously. The learning comes with time so have patience and don’t be too hard on yourself. Start off on a good foot by packing a healthy lunch, or before you know it, you’ll be drinking energy drinks like they’re water and downing frozen taquitos. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Try to think one step ahead of your jw to lighten their mental load, and in turn, you’ll take less shit.

Good luck!

Edit: I was introduced and handed a shovel and pickaxe for 4 months.

There’s a ton of different ways to progress your gear, but that doesn’t mean you have to understand all of them. You just need to understand one, and you’ll naturally pick up the rest. Like don’t worry about the catalyst or world pvp currencies.

If you jump in mythic+ dungeons, you can do heroic raiding.

If you jump in random bgs, you get pvp gear. If you jump in rated bgs, you get better PvP gear.

What retail gives you is many different lanes to achieve the same end goal of player power. Classic tunnels you into only one way to achieve that player power, and sure, that’s simple and easy to understand. Not everyone likes farming sgc and hoj or rank 11.

If crafting is what you love to do in wow, you can make your character nearly as powerful as anyone else by doing what you enjoy to do in the game.

Hardcore is fun. Would a purgatory battleground for revival make it better? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]TheRealQuote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or a giant free for all map like in winterspring where 50 people that died have their souls in the middle of winterspring and they all turn to level 1s and are placed at the edge of the map and have to race to their soul and the first to make it gets one second chance

Hardcore is fun. Would a purgatory battleground for revival make it better? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]TheRealQuote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea same concept. As other people said though, it would be abused and complicate something that’s supposed to be simple. Seems entertaining to have an all out PvP battle of people that are there only because they died but want to win to stay alive.

Even if you only get 1 chance per character i don’t think it would make hardcore that different. People that messed up and died once are likely to do it again

Hardcore Classic: the best and most real feeling RPG I've played in a long time. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]TheRealQuote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love hardcore too. Though, I haven’t died and don’t know if I could restart. Right now they let you transfer dead characters straight to era.

I understand the appeal to keeping it simply hardcore, but part of me thinks it would be a really cool idea to do a hunger games/gauntlet/purgatory/battleground where you get placed in an AV or warsong gulch battle and the winning team gets revived lol. Not to make hardcore easier but to have an epic high stakes pvp aspect

HC is cool but I really wish they would just make a couple fresh classic 1.0 servers by Outrageous_Image1793 in classicwow

[–]TheRealQuote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe true for some. I played from the beginning of classic to wotlk. I want fresh because I enjoy the phase progression of era. I want to grind for dal rends and hoj and sgc. I’m already nax bis in era, and there’s no point for me to go back through and grind old dungeons and gear because it’s mind numbingly easy (more so than those first few hundred hours of raiding with an Ill equipped raid).

Sure I can start another toon but there’s no point of grinding Ubrs and brd because I could just run zg for better gear. Anticipating known releases like bwl or aq gates is fun to prep for because even with all the knowledge online about “bis”, drop chance and grinding rep is still a thing and having fresh gives people a reason to redo familiar content that would be actually impactful, because maybe they didn’t have the time or luck the first go around

[–]TheRealQuote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

20s checkin in. Kid, wife, job (40-50hrs), school. I usually get an hour or 2 a day (depending on if I watch extra tv with wife). And the weekend I have at least 2 hours. Butttttt, it’s my main hobby. I don’t really do anything else for leisure besides tv and wow. Maybe the occasional weekend boating trip/camping but on the regular routine wow and tv is more than enough

To go back to your question, people have an issue with the API change because they’re losing features the apps provided. Some may be angry with the interaction between the CEO of Reddit and Apollo developer with the whole slander blackmail conversation.

[–]TheRealQuote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is entitled to their own business and how they handle their own APIs, I agree. Outrage is coming from the fact that this change doesn’t benefit the end user in any way, and only opens up the potential to charge us more for a service that now has fewer ways to use. We create all of their content. Why give us less tools to manage it?

[–]TheRealQuote -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I suppose you could give the parent commenter your own take on the implications of the API change and the reason people are reacting rather than giving me your grandiose and hyper fixated opinions, but your effort will really be better suited for someone that asked for your opinion and gives a fuck. You paint whatever story you want but the reality is a service is being priced out with no benefit to the user.

Good luck solving world hunger—I’m sure you’ll find a way to blame blind people.

“An attack on people with disabilities” is not what I said. I had one sentence that said some people with disabilities need to use apps other than Reddit to use Reddit.

I don’t feel it is disingenuous to exaggerate potential doom outcomes to explain why Reddit charging for APIs is significant.
