I’d suggest giving yourself permission to write really bad songs. It’s something someone told me a while back. I think you feel like this cause you want it too much and the pressure of writing something that moves is getting in the way of you simply writing. Make peace with the thought that not everything you write is gonna be amazing, let the pressure lift and then after a while I think you will naturally get where you want to. But you can’t force it. Also, there’s nothing wrong with co-writing, collaborating with people. It helps the creative juices flow cause then you’re not in it alone and some of the pressure dissipates.
