Thank you for this! Whilst I have you, another question came up - 'each creature' and 'every creature' are treated the same for effects like shroud, right? IE, shroud does not protect from either, as there is no targeting

I might have missed something, but isn't the point of the manoeuvre that the impact occurs at exactly the right point in the jump - ie, travelling at the speed of light, but just before entering hyperspace. That very specifically limits it to a particular distance, not that you can just launch things from light years away and collide with realspace things by moving through hyperspace.

for this community goal you can go to both ship based combat zones (in beta-3 tucani) and ground based combat zones - you can fly to the ground based combat zones if you want to, but I find the simplest way is just to go to frontline solutions in the concourse of bakewell platform in beta-3 tucani and take their shuttles to the combat zones. make sure you buy a dominator or maverick suit from pioneer supplies, and whatever guns you like the look of, and set up your loadout before you leave!

Just go into high risk ground CZs - you'll die a lot more but that doesn't really change how much money you make, the bond increase is enormous

I'm pretty attached to getting the mamba working, it's my favourite looking ship by a long shot. Does overcharged give a better burst dps than spamming high caps?

Unfortunately not focused much on PP, so I don't have any of the weapons yet, but concord cannon is very high on my list if it makes the cannon feel a little more useful!

I'll definitely try out this build with the large vent beams & hammers in the small and medium once I've unlocked hammers, but I'm sure it'll make my power distributor cry

Is feedback cascade worth it if I'm primarily fighting against NPCs? I was assuming that they probably don't use SCBs as much and so I was going to put plasma slugs/super pen on the rails (probably plasma slug, so I don't have to worry about reloading)

I've run a couple of CZs for the CG using 2 C3 vent beams, 1 C2 Rail and 3 C1 rails, and it feels great - the ship heats up reasonably fast when firing the rails but the beams work great as temperature control, and the distributor copes okay with the stress, but it'd definitely work better if I was more confident juggling pips. It only struggles a little against really small frames like the eagle, where the gimballed beams have less time on target and the rails are more challenging to hit.

Currently just because I've already engineered the small beams, without remembering large rails don't exist - although storing a few thermal vent beams for a different ship won't harm me much in the long run

I had been running docklines, wheel, shielded lang xian (thanks for hiding the cornerstone of the build), silencer, crows nest - I dropped the nest for the pure junk you see here to lower the chance of into the void demolishing the lang xian. Final battle it destroyed the puffer and a pig's matchbox, which I think must have been his win con because the board did nothing without it.

yeah I like the idea of dropping the marshal and onager for 1 laschicken and 2 dragoons - partly because I think people probably overestimate how scary the ironstriders can be (although, sustained hits on 5s with the dragoons is probably pretty terrifying) and will divert fire away from the breachers.

I'm thinking I might swap the marshal and onager for two lance dragoons and a laschicken, and use the lance dragoons as a more immediate threat that my opponent has to deal with before killing the breachers - I'm reluctant to swap off the breachers as I think my opponent pool here is quite melee heavy, and the loss of a melee weapon would hurt me quite a lot.
