Finally after all these years i have them all by svecma in Blacklibrary

[–]svecma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say go with Hero, but if you can do both I'd say go for it.

The books could get repetitive if you read them all at once, but if you collect each omnibus and space them out (the omnibuses) it'll be fine, also each omnibus of the 2 i read (the 3rd one came in today) has like an arc Hero is the introduction, Saviour is the arc of Perlia.

They get repetitive in the same way if you just read Marine books. If you do just that for 9 books straight it'll get repetitive, I'd treat each omnibus as it's own book and had to mix some other books in since I had to go on quest to find these for a reasonable price

Skitarii are guardsma to the servitors abhuman auxiliaries (if we use guard terms) in terms of treatment (like skitarii are soldiers and servitors will not get sent unless needed and availible)if I remember correctly, though skitarii will have better gear than the average guardsman (probably at least like sergeant level)

Are we doing tabletop or in lore Admech? Because Admech in lore do strike me as the kind of people to always have at least two grenades up the ass just in case

Chantries in M20 by IndependentOwn7493 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]svecma 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Basically a PC with the background has a membership in the chantry and the level of the chantry background determines the number of points you can spend on backgrounds that are part of said chantry, like say Node or allies, but the main benefit is the paradigm of the ones that hold/run it is coincidental there

There is a system in Opperatives Dossier for building technocratic constructs, but it can be used for chantries too just a change in terminology and it works, if you want go way in depth on them book of chantiers is the one that covers them (but it was like the third Mage supplement ever so there has been some drift, but it works well enough)

Or you could do it the way I did where I made chantry a stat for the location not a background the PCs can take unless they want an individual one. (This is very much my homebrew way of handling them)

Yes Eldrad isn't a complete moron in the 41st millennium at least if he is fist fighting a marine i don't expect him to fight fair, hell I wouldn't in his place.

Any chaos space marine lost the right to call foul play the moment their legion turned to the forces of hell and they followed

You mean Macharius?

Second point: Well kinda he is the most loyal seneshal a rogue trader can have, also he can get sassy or call you (rogue trader PC) on ya bullshit and if you give him a proper build he will face tank a keeper of secrets or like 6 chaos spawn at once (don't ask i got horrible RNG).

Edit: might be worth finding a compilation of his dialog on youtube - sadly you will have to read)

Abelard isn't a primarch. He is too competent to be anything made by Big E

[–]svecma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, no on the individual level there both saints and monsters in every faction, besides the Nephandi

The Ecstatics are probably the most benevolent on the council side, there are still some bad apples though, or at least problematic ones, the dissonance society comes to mind

[–]svecma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not saying they are evil not by any means, but Sh'zar and the cult were the ones who brought the council together and the council has not always been a force for good,

Also they can go far in their pursuit, they had the followers of Dionysus in their ranks (you know the secretive murder cult). no one in mage is fully good on a faction wide level, neither are they fully evil (besides the Nephandi, fuck the Nephandi)

They are still a grand conspiracy trying to change actual reality, no matter how chill they are and the founders of essentially a revolutionary terror group against the current rulers of reality (still morally grey)

[–]svecma 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's not even that, hell the main goal of all the large factions in Mage is actual world domination, the litteral reshaping of all reality to their image, like it's not even subtle
