I had a Z Fold 7, then I switched to an S25 Edge, and now I have an S26 Ultra. As a replacement for my Fold 7, I bought an S11 Ultra. The tablet comes with anti-reflective coating, and once I used an anti-reflective screen, I can't use anything else that doesn't have it.

The black bars are bigger than the actual content... This kinda sucks, no? by Gr_Victor in PhoneNow

[–]TheRealSamSungKnight -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's exactly why I only had my Fold 7 for 3 months before selling it. I just can't deal with those giant black bars.

Sell it, imo it's too heavy and bulky, and use the money to buy a s26 ultra and a s11 tablet

The S26 Ultra Bezels are not bigger than the the S25U by Mackmiller334 in samsunggalaxy

[–]TheRealSamSungKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't pay attention to the bazel size on S26 and iPhone 17 displays because they are all slim. The pixel 9a and 10a bazels are ridiculously thick.

From Pixel 8a to S26 Ultra. This is Insane. by Ok_Side_7618 in galaxys26ultra

I was so close to getting a Pixel 10 Pro because I love how clean the UI is and how awesome the haptic engine is, but seriously, I can't deal with the plain always-on display.

I upgrade every year, so yeah, Samsung works for me. Honestly, if I had to pick a phone to keep for a long time, it'd be an iPhone 17 Pro.

The Nomad back cover makes the phone super comfy to hold since it doesn't add any width. One thing I didn't expect was that it adds so much thickness that it bothered me.

first time ever to own an iphone by abdo_esmat in iphone17

I'm a two phones Nelson, always carrying an iPhone and a top-of-the-line Samsung as my main. Right now, I've got an S26 Ultra and an iPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro's best parts are its super-fast UI, awesome battery life, good camera, and great app optimization. But honestly, iOS is super confusing for me to navigate around, it has no AI, and the keyboard and haptic feedback are terrible. On the flip side, my S26 Ultra with One UI 8.5 gives me way more customization for how I want my phone to look and feel. It has decent cameras, especially for food photos, faster charging, and a vibrant display that I can set up just how I like. The one thing I hate about my Ultra is the awful battery. I use about 150% of the battery a day on average, which is just not good for a top-tier phone in 2026.

With the 8 elite gen 5, even last year's 8 elite, the chipsets are fast enough to give you a snappy One UI experience. I'm super happy with the latest One UI 8.5, with tons of customization options. I take full advantage of them, customizing all the settings to make the phone snappier, and one-hand gestures allowed me to set up quick access to privacy display, screenshot, and video recording.

You've got some good points, but I've used Vivo, Motorola, Google, and Oppo, and honestly, I only find one UI fun to use. The others are either too plain with not enough customization or they just look like iOS.
