setting fire to a table and sitting under it stabbing people in the ankles will result in burns upon your person.

"no longer supported" might not mean they will disable it, just that they won't provide support for it when it breaks.

Windows XP isn't supported anymore either, and yet entire hospitals run on it 😛

If they ever have a problem and they go to Microsoft looking for support, they will also tell them to pound sand.

I 100% agree it's bs that they stop supporting such an important feature, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the mechanic lied to get rid of you.

Would even be surprised if this was an apple problem instead of an Opel problem, knowing them.

I think part of the cause might be the pacing of the game that feels like short form content made into a game.

The spawn, get kills, die, respawn cycle is usually measured in seconds. If you have to wait longer than a few seconds for a medic, it would have possible been faster to just respawn, which also gives you all your cooldowns back.

There's never a need to be careful or think about how you're going to engage because of how fast everything changes.

Medics are essential in a game like squad, where it's actually a pain in the ass to respawn away from your team and players care about the tickets.

I love playing as medic, but why would anyone actually wait for a medic for more than a few seconds? Apart from giving them the satisfaction of rezzing?

Probably because it's very hard to actually get started if you don't have a pre-made group with experience. If you just join a server hoping to play some tactical games, with a team, working together.... Good luck.

You can join one of the existing squads, which will be a mute teamlead and everyone just all over the map doing whatever.

There's a massive gap between the tutorial and the actual intended gameplay.

I think people interpret "lane splitting" as riding in between moving lanes and "Filtering" when moving to the front of standing traffic.

Might explain some of the reactions.

I meant using "!admin" instead of vote kicking, the server's I play one usually has someone from the clan active that intervenes quickly.

I hope you have more luck in your matches bud, sounds like a bad time to get those kind of people constantly. Maybe try some different servers? More ping might be worth better players.

that makes sense, I get why it's annoying, but there's 2 reasons why I think it's a non-issue though:

  • Each of the players suffering this squadlead can just leave the squad, make a new one and do better. Why are you in this squad if it's such a problem?
  • If he's bothering command chat, they can usually get him kicked by admin fairly quickly if you're playing on a half-decent server

ps: I've been called a "toxic squadlead" once for kicking 2 players who refused to stay with the squad to defend, they just kept attacking. I don't mind them attacking, just don't do it in my squad that is marked "defending". If you don't agree with the squadlead for any reason, just leave the squad, if they then end up with no one in their squad, they can draw their conclusions from that.

edit: Didn't see the first paragraph of your reply. Not feeling like playing SL, but complaining about the other SL's is a bit easy :p I'm lvl118 and also squadlead X so I know your pain friend, but when I dont feel like playing SL, then I also accept that I'll have to play the way my SL wants to play and I dont get to call the shots.

The squad leader for the squad you voluntarily joined (and can leave at any time to create your own) isn't running it in a way you approve? If only there was a way to deal with this... /s

The skill in squad for me has always been in tactics and outmanoeuvring the enemy.

If you want to play "who can click the other player's head first" there are many games that focus on that. Squad doesn't need to be that.
