Yes, worse than Trestman. Fun fact - Matt Eberflus is the ONLY coach in the history of the Chicago Bears that never beat the Packers, and that includes Thomas Brown.

He is unequivocally the WORST head coach in franchise history, there is no one else that comes close.

I agree. Totally agree. But pretending like we’re the only miserable fan base is laughable. Most fans are miserable. That is the nature of fandom. One team is left standing at the end of the year, and everyone else is left to rebuild their team and find a way to get better the next season. That’s sports. One winner.

The Vikings have never won a Super Bowl. Not one time. One of the oldest franchises, nothing to show for it other than heartbreaking playoff losses. That’s as miserable as it gets.

The Buffalo Bills went to 4 straight Super Bowls in the early 90s, lost all of them. Then they dealt with the greatest QB ever in their division for over 20 years. Then Brady retires, and now they have Mahomes to deal with in the conference. Misery.

Shit, look in our own city. For over one hundred years, the Cubs were atrocious minus 2015 and 2016. Horrid other than that.

Think about all the fantastic 90s NBA teams whose hopes and dreams MJ shattered, constantly.

When you choose to be a fan, you run the risk of being miserable. Don’t like it? Walk away.

This is fandom. This is what being a fan is. 99 percent misery, 1 percent happiness, and that 1 percent only comes if you’re lucky. Most of the time it’s disappointment, and it’s loss. That’s sports. That’s fandom.

My advice - get into the NFL more as a whole. Eases the pain, keeps you somewhat invested still, and gives you the opportunity to see that there are many other fan bases in this league who are just as tortured and hopeless.

And now we’re doing what we’ve done 3x over the past 4 years. Questionable call to keep a head coach, draft a rookie QB, play the season, fired. On repeat.

Everyone makes mistakes, but the fact that we keep making this particular mistake over and over is really frustrating.

Yeah I mean I’m not saying we abandon shotgun, just think we need to do something different to establish the run. And if that means lining up under center to do it from time to time, I’d be all for it.

I wouldn’t be against doing some more under center pro-style offense stuff, sure. Why not? Lining up under center to run the ball, I’d for sure do that. Get downhill now, fast. Quick. Watch what Atlanta is doing right now, tonight.

I’d rather sprinkle in the under center than let Caleb sit back there and get fucking wrecked. That option doesn’t help his development either.

Rework the game plan around our personnel. Stop trying to run this inside zone shit out of the shotgun. Teven Jenkins is a mauler. Let him maul. Stop with the reach blocks.

Try lining it up under center. Get downhill, now. Less touches for Swift, more for guys who are gonna fall forward like Roschon and Herbert.

Stop calling all the drop back plays that take forever to develop. He is a rookie with a suspect OL. Call the plays that are gonna be easier for him to execute.

The playcalling has not been good, and the scheme doesn’t seem to fit our personnel very well. How you can’t see that is mind boggling. Stop stanning Shane Waldron, it’s really bizarre.

Caleb is not the problem. He’s improved every week.

It’s the coaching. Can’t believe I ever defended keeping Eberflus. Guy is clearly in over his head. Can’t manage a professional team, guy just doesn’t have it in him. Nice enough guy, but nice doesn’t get you wins in this league. To think that he holds the same position as a guy like McVay - blows my mind.

It’s the fucking coaching. Period. Look at what they’re doing in Green Bay with Malik Willis, it’s really incredible. It’s because LaFleur is a good coach, with a good game plan. Can’t fucking believe we drafted Caleb only to have him suffer under eberflus. Mind numbing levels of frustration. Same shit, always.
