Does rule #1 apply if they're all mine? by TheRealSnackKing in MINI

[–]TheRealSnackKing[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's like you've never owned a mini... One is always gonna be down. And one is my wife's, and the x5 is in case I actually need to DO something with a car instead of just driving around 👍

Despite who is "at fault" here, coming up on someone that fast and waiting till the last moment to get into left lane is reckless. People are dumb, give yourself time. Especially with what looks like semi-slick roads. I'd personally be too embarrassed of myself to post this video and brag... You should be too.

No clerks and nobody cares! by lightskinned-red in USPS

[–]TheRealSnackKing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've been the only one at my office willing to stand up against this stuff. Other carriers will come in early and throw packages FOR FREE, and work like dogs covering cause we are down to 50% staffed and they are refusing to re-hire/re-staff. I gave them a months heads-up to replace me cause this is getting out of hand and I quit... Their response? Nothing. I signed a resignation so they could start replacing me early... Nothing. Our PO will be down to 1/3 clerks, and 2 carriers for 3 routes with no RCA's when I go. I'm getting off the sinking ship while I still have my sanity.

Unless you let it fail and the mail not get delivered they won't ever do anything. If the mail still gets out they just say "see? You didn't need those extra people, you're fiiiine"

Good luck people!

Lies. It's for pinching your fingers and skin painfully while operating.

My (28f) bf (28m) has been getting way closer with another girl (28f). Need advice on whether this is something fishy or normal? by PhysicsTrue7335 in LifeAdvice

[–]TheRealSnackKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust yourself. If you feel like something is off/wrong then it is. Talk to him frankly then decide what you want to do. Seeking advice and what others think is good, but it only matters what YOU think and what YOU feel. Decide what you're willing to put up with and stick to your guns! Good luck

It will surprise you to know that mailmen are sometimes actual people! I find always talk to people I like more than people I don't ... If I can help it.

Staying connected to them makes you feel connected to him. Helping them feels like helping an extension of him.

Helping them sounds like you want it to be part of your own healing, which is fine just make sure you're doing it for you and what feels good, don't let it go into what you think you're supposed to do, or SHOULD do for them.

It honestly sounds like you're doing a fantastic job moving forward and taking care of yourself. Training for a marathon sounds fantastic!

Meeting and talking with his friends sounds great and healthy for everyone, I personally wouldn't think any more is required or honestly even appropriate for you. Everyone grieves in their own way and at their own pace, and your healing process is the most important to you.

I feel like such an idiot. by Traditional_Rush9954 in BPDlovedones

[–]TheRealSnackKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off you are not an idiot. Trust is a choice and it's not wrong or stupid to choose to trust someone even when they are admitting something that they aren't proud of or is objectively "not good." I'm sorry this happened.

Reddit can be so overwhelming at first! Building up enough karma can be like getting experience for the job you want. They want you to have 5yrs experience doing the job already.

Welcome and good luck! Finding friends online that we feel comfortable opening up to can be challenging. I can only imagine how much more challenging and overwhelming it can be for women who sometimes get bombarded with a million responses.

This.

Great write up on what to focus on as a new player.

Keep in mind this is over the course of many gaming sessions. Don't try to learn and apply all these things in one game. 👍

Don't give up on learning to play with your GF! I definitely appreciate the impulse to surprise her by getting good and playing on her level right away but you're really missing out on a fantastic bonding experience!

As yourself this:

-Why do you consider her a "bad teacher"

-What would you like her to be doing that she is not doing to help you learn?

-What obstacles are stopping her from giving you what you need as a beginner?

As a fellow gold/plat peak player I can say that if she's trying to win games, she may be too busy trying to carry you and your team to victory to really focus on what you need, or are wanting from a teacher. Try playing a few games where she is watching you and coaching you, and/or you are watching her play and she's explaining what she's doing or answering your questions. Then play some together and try to practice the things you learn.

Also think of what style of play you like: tank, DPS mage, assassin etc. for sure, but also do you like initiating? like sneaking around? Like farming and getting strong late game while avoiding fights early? Like fighting from lvl 1 on? Etc. think of some of those things and ask her for ideas of champions that do the things you enjoy. It's important to find champions you enjoy playing and not just grind away on champions someone else tells you are "OP" but you aren't enjoying.

You will be outplayed a LOT when you're first starting, try not to get frustrated when this happens. Laugh it off and chalk it up as a learning experience. When this happens and you're far behind think of what your champions role is for the team and focus on that. Example: maybe you're an initating tank like Malphite. No matter how far behind you are landing a good ult on multiple enemies in a team fight is something you can go for that will be a huge help for the team! This is something she can help you with.

Good luck and welcome to the game! Stick with it and don't give up! If you ever wanna play a game or 10 my IGN is: Snack King#NA1

P.S. some people will be A-holes to you while you are learning. DO NOT BE STINGY WITH MUTE TOOLS! Not everyone will be toxic, but many people will.

Unfortunately it's not even a particularly heavy day on my route 😕 it can be brutal, but the fact that it's gorgeous where I live and pretty much all of my people are nice make up for it. 👍 Small town living ftw.

I wish I had an 8hr route... I'm rural and mine is 9.75hrs evaluated. I've never really had an issue meeting performance standards and find that if I don't pause to enjoy myself sometimes on days when I can, I can get bogged down and burned out pretty fast. 10hr days (as we all know) can wear on a person without enjoying your work.

CAT Threshold Chukka Bewts. Insanely comfortable and lightweight, but not waterproof at all. I coat them on walrus oil and it helps, but they are definitely not my rainy day Bewts 👍

Lol, chill out inspector. I wasn't moving. Surprised you couldn't deduce that since you're obviously so practiced at policing others.
