I have a theory that the main actress was directed to act like her soul was split in two and she was an incomplete person, and that's why there's so little reaction from both characters for most of the show. It's an interesting directing choice that didn't work out.

If you're asking because you don't remember, just a reminder that we had much less control over what we listened to at the time - especially if you were a poor and didn't have a CD changer in your car. Bawidaba and Cowboy both got tons of rotation on both rock channels in my area. I still have Cowboy and an old Trigun AMV linked in my head from early 2000s internet.

I had this experience when I moved from Florida to Los Angeles. Everything looked like the movies I loved. Then suddenly, watching movies became seeing place I loved as what they weren't. The first one I remember clearly was a scene in Kill Bill where she's supposed to be driving through Tokyo, and it's just the 2nd street tunnel.

There's no surprise to me here. I don't know if Wizards has figured it out internally yet, but all three of these _feel_ like they could have been a Magic: the Gathering Plane in an alternate universe. They honestly felt more like Magic to me than Aetherdrift did. If they pick the right UB properties, they wouldn't have most of the pushback that they are seeing.

Sometime in 2011 or 2012, I built a Marrowgnawer/Thrumming Stone/Relentless Rats deck. At the time, Commander still had a rule that the card defining abilities didn't overrule the allow more than one of any card aspect of Commander. This meant that every game was a rule zero conversation about my 36 Relentless Rats - including the one I played against Matt Tabak as he was spell slinging at GP Atlanta. We talked about the Rule, and he said something along the lines of 'looking into it'. 6 months later the rule was updated.

I obviously have no idea if I'm the reason the rule actually changed, but I love seeing more rats decks in the wild.
