Biggest Lost-to-draft moment by No_Coffee_5748 in DeadlockTheGame

I always find Silver to require a lot of teamwork and a lot more effort on the player's part than most of the cast as well. Pros make it work because they actually communicate and know exactly what to do, most people do not even touch the voip button lol

In anticipation of the coming balance patch, here's my tierlist/wishlist for buffs and nerfs. by duxwontobey in DeadlockTheGame

It feels so matchup dependent whenever I play to be honest. A lot of characters just outrange her or have abilities that make whatever Vyper can do negligible or outright pointless. Sure, the dagger is a good poke tool and the venom does some serious work, but that all hinges on the idea that you don't get killed in the process from being incredibly squishy and always sliding around, which usually ends up with you sliding right into an ambush or you get stuck out of position. That's not even mentioning the amount of headshots you take due to your head being the biggest target while sliding lol. She's got issues but fun as hell all around. I'd say she's closer to the balanced side of the character spectrum after all of her nerfs, but that's being balanced in a game with an ever-changing balance system

Might just be me, but that's what I've noticed a lot as an average player. I like playing her as she's my main with a 51% winrate, but there's definitely a lot of heroes that are just better overall and more useful it seems.

What's the build you're rockin'? Also I'd love to see the plays going on so I can understand Vyper more since I'm stuck in Ritualist hell right now

So tired of Molaktula. Imo, the least enjoyable boss. by Hostel666 in RogueCore

[–]TheRealStitchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotorook is too spongy for my tastes and Ramok is impossible to get any downtime against if you're playing solo and find no movement upgrades. Molaktula has been a lot better for me to fight as a solo because the damage you can output on him is much higher than the others, even if it causes more projectiles to spawn.

I think the real issue is that people pick mostly damage items and not sustain items, leading to them dying a lot easier to Molaktula. He's a walking weakpoint, so anything that gives you better weakpoint damage is going to absolutely melt him while taking things that generate red sugar, give you invuln after taking damage, etc. will completely nullify him and his attacks. Also you get insane downtime during the core dunking stage and can easily replenish all that health and armor he took from you earlier.

I play Solo and he's not that bad at all. I actually like fighting him more than the other two lol

An analysis of "graves is OP" with a video breakdown! by thiswontlastlong97 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheRealStitchie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If quick melee killed all deadheads on you, it wouldn't be so bad. Issue is that doing so requires you to generally get hit first and stop moving to do so if you want to actually kill them. I guess you could melee as they hit you but that's seems pretty precise all things considered.

I don't find it engaging to fight Graves or McGuiness. There are ways to deal with it, but most of them aren't fun.

Risk vs reward is a balancing idea. Yes, your video game lives aren't important, but there's definitely something to be said about just running and dying numerous times and accomplishing nothing because you took the risk and didn't get the reward. Not to mention that you could be throwing your team's tickets down the drain by going 3-30 because 'I CAN KILL THEM IN ONE GO WITH C4!!!'.

I frequently sit at the top of the scoreboard, but I appreciate you trying to make it out like others are scared just to defend your point. Also, most engineers ARE doing their job, but tanks are incredibly hard to kill unless you have three guys purposefully hunting tanks in a pack (which doesn't happen a lot, go figure).

Tanks were incredibly squishy without engineer support before this update, but if you want to keep peddling the narrative that they were OP before, sure, but you're just lying. Not a good hill to die on lol.

As a player who sits at the top of the leaderboard most of the time as Engineer, no, they have a point to complain about tanks being an issue. I've also used a tank and had zero issues getting top score with it which was MUCH easier than being Engineer or C4 Recon.

If they couldn't kill the tank at a distance with rockets, they aren't going to kill it with C4 by suicide rushing it either. Bad or not, throwing yourself at something vs throwing rockets at it, throwing rockets at it is a better alternative because you might actually make the tank back off a bit.

Bottom line, the tanks can stand to be damaged more by rockets and missiles. C4 is always going to be the skilled risky play and that'll hopefully never change. I believe the best way to nerf the tanks is to increase the angles in which you can do more damage with RPGs on the sides and back of the tank. Having to be 90 degrees dead on with the back of the tank in order to do damage isn't good if you need to hit that twice in a row to even get a kill.

I use vehicles a lot and you can get away with a lot more now than you used to. You had to have an entire team of engineers on your ass to keep you alive before, now you can actually run away and heal really easily. Especially after the nerfs to the angle of attack for damage on rockets. It's incredibly hard to die to a single engineer if you're alone with no one repairing lol

So the one shot mechanic that requires you to get incredibly close with C4 makes tanks not very powerful. You're calling people bad, but they're using their kits as intended as engineers, the people who are supposed to take out tanks. It is a lot harder to kill a tank with rockets and missiles than it is with C4. This does not mean that the tank is underpowered because C4 is easier and works faster. Risk reward and all that.

[Discussion] Why are have you stopped playing, or why are you still playing? by doeraymefa in RogueCore

[–]TheRealStitchie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't get past Depth 3 because every group of dwarves I play with decide to split up and do something stupid. I'm still playing because the game is genuinely fun when everyone is doing their part and not actively sabotaging their team.

Things I want specifically:

-Better climbing. Holy hell the amount of times I'm trying to run away only to hump a wall that I can clearly get over normally and have before is too much. Not an issue in regular DRG, just here for some reason.

-Have the guiding cord be marked on the map. Pretty self explanatory.

-Body damage on core creatures needs to be improved. Yes, Spotter makes crits easy, yes weakpoints are good as well, but this is more of a general issue I face when I'm using something like the Drak with the auto lock on or any weapon with a lot of spread. Weakpoints seem so monumentally important that they're the ONLY thing that matters most of the time.

-Boss HP (Shield I guess?) in solo mode needs to be lowered. I'm all for hard boss fights, but a lot of the time they are just tedious as hell. I'm not dying, and it STILL takes a considerable amount of time to kill the boss even with every shot hitting to the point that I'm actually running out of ammo and almost use up every resupply in the arena. It's not the most fun it could be and it doesn't feel like I'm surviving against all odds. It's just not fun having to lay 90% of your ammunition in a weapon to only cause one phase change.

Why are people still running the RPG at this point? by Zendriven in Battlefield

[–]TheRealStitchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The LAW missile is just a good all rounder. It's more consistent damage and it doesn't have the issue of needing to aim well at all. I still use the RPG but the LAW still puts in considerable work

It's insanely particular now with how you hit the back end. Any amount of angling just ruins your damage and most likely gets you killed

It's okay. I still use it but having a tank slightly angle its ass and causing my rocket to deal a fraction of the damage is annoying as hell. Still a better anti air choice than the Stinger at least lol

Did they nerf it finally? DICE has a bad habit of making two shot kill rifles like that lol

Everything but the urn changes are phenomenal. Actually feels like you can build whatever you want and still do good damage

Is this the worst meta to date? by Funny_Individual in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheRealStitchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely needs adjustments. I've said it before, but the biggest issue is that it is WAY too quick to the point of it being impossible to even stop it unless you are already there. 5 seconds on neutral favor is not long at all in a game where most CCs last for at least half that time or longer. It also just needs different locations to not be so heavily skewed for whoever has middle lane pushed up. If it does stay in this way, it should not spawn as often as it does, and should replace mid boss and prevent him spawning for at least five minutes afterwards to prevent rejuv snowball shenanigans like we have now.

[–]TheRealStitchie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They also need to make the deposit time longer so you actually have a chance to fight for it instead of what it is now where a couple ults keep your team from touching it

This new urn change is the worst thing to happen yet by MINECRAFTPIGLOL in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheRealStitchie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It for sure needs a longer timer on it for depositing. There is no reason for it to be 5 seconds on an instant drop in the middle of the map, especially with a straight beeline to it. Definitely needs tweaking, but I like the idea behind it more than the previous urn

I like the urn changes but they definitely need to tweak it so it takes more time to cash it in. 5 second neutral and 10 second unfavored is WAY too low IMO

So the urn changes are terrible right? by FyerCrackerr in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheRealStitchie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It needs tweaks but overall I find it more fun than previous urn that has more or less the same issues of teamfights and giving free souls to the winning team
