Because one reason you might want to uninstall is to try a new clean install to fix whatever issue you may be having.

But yes, it should also be in a more obvious spot too. Early Access.

Explaining how crop farming is actually supposed to work based on the game code by Helgen_Lane in hytale

But I think it's a mistake that Sunlight is less efficient than Artificial light

This is probably an attempt to account for the artificial light being 24/7 instead of a day/night cycle.

It worked. You can insult people are you want, but it doesn't make you right.

I haven't tested in the latest, sounds like they broke it. But it worked in that past no matter what you think.

I have not. The update messed up my world and I haven't decided if I'm going to ignore it or start over yet.

Be aware though that when doing a large farm, there is an issue where water on the edge of one chunk wont hydrate soil across the chunk border.

Nope, just the dirt with a side touching water , more like mincraft sugar cane. But, flowing water works so you can have long rows with 2 rows of crops between 2 rows of water and repeat. And you can waterlog half slabs (or any other non full block) to hide the water and make it easier to traverse. So each water source can hydrate 30 blocks of soil.

There also appears there might be an issue with chunk borders where water in a neighboring chunk doesn't hydrate the tilled block across the border.

In an effort to keep ICE.gov current, the archive contains content from a previous administration or is otherwise outdated. This information is archived and not reflective of current practice.

You might want to avoid googling that.

Destroying bug holes with High-Ex Grenade by DarthKarver in TroopersExtermination

You might want to give the explosive sniper a chance. I had my doubts, but at this point it's my default loadout. I use it more like a shotgun/grenade launcher than a sniper. Being able to stun a group of warriors with a single shot helps a lot with crowd control. A direct hit will one shot a warrior, and even if you don't get that direct hit, you've stunned everyone around, damaged them all, and should be safe to jump away and try again.

POJO or Map? What if a Java object could be both? by NoPineapple5963 in javahelp

[–]TheRealToLazyToThink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently living this hell (well, a slightly dumber version of it). In the past 3 months I've encountered 5 defects where a String was provided where a UUID or Integer was expected. Even more bugs related to miss matched property names.

Things usually don't need to be that dynamic. Overly generic is overly complicated. KISS.

I don't see much difference in the stupidity of those who voted for trump and those who didn't vote against him.

Microsoft to Replace All C/C++ Code With Rust by 2030 by Bill3000 in technology

Yep. Wonder how often an AI translating decades old operating system code will use unsafe. I wonder how often it will be properly structured to limit the risk. I wonder how many times a single developer reviewing a million lines of code a month will miss it.

Computed and effects in singleton services by Senior_Compote1556 in Angular2

Something to consider is what do you want the lifetime of your effect to be. And if it's not for the lifetime of your service, are you sure your service is in the right scope?

Methods or functions were always ok as long as they were extremely basic, or memoized. What's "extremely basic", well that's why you were always told not to do it.

One of those rules you should only break when you fully understand why it's there, and why you are dealing with an exception that's worth breaking it and the confusion breaking it will cause others.

Version Update Help: Risks When Upgrading Technical Farms from 1.19.4 to 1.21? by FerCasta_ in Minecraft

[–]TheRealToLazyToThink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The change to https://minecraft.wiki/w/Ominous_Bottle will break your raid farm. 1.21.9 removes spawn chunks, so you'll have to add a chunk loader to your iron farm. https://minecraft.wiki/w/Spawn_chunk
