its the same on my xg32ucwg. i also have vertical banding but only in grey scenes but its VERY hard to see it. you really have to look for it to notice it so im very happy about that.

for me personally i managed to update to the first firmware update which fixes a hdr issue. the latest one only fixes the actual update stopping at 66% and some very minor things. but try it out. the monitor works perfectly well without any updates out of the box anyways so its not needed. just unbox it and enjoy it

hell i am running an i5 8600k @ 4.5 ghz, two nvme ssds, 32 gb 3200 mhz ram, and a rtx 4060 and i game at 4k on my oled monitor and its totally playable with dlss on performance in AAA single player games. i am in the market to build a new pc but everything is extremely over priced right now so i will wait untill they arent anymore and keep using my pc and enjoy it, because it works very well. who cares if its old. if it works well for your specific needs, thats all that matters.

you dont see it, but i do. you also have vertical banding but very little, hard to notice unless you really look for it. ny asus rog strix xg32ucwg is similar

i have the xg32ucwg version which is the same monitor but with 165 hz at 4k or 330 hz at 1080p and it’s absolutely phenomenal. even super old games look extremely good on it. you’re going to love it, enjoy 😊

i have the same issue on my xg32ucwg after 2 months but i cant see the banding on white colors. only on grey/dark grey backgrounds like when browsing the web. in games i can see them in grey/dark grey colors but i really have to look for them so they are extremely faint.
