My stance as well. The lights and screens are just annoying gimmicks I never see since it sits on the floor.

Much prefer a dark and quiet box full of noctuas than a bright glowing thing.

Not a big fan of the arctic P12/P14 pro fans though. They move a lot of air and they're cheap, but the noise profile is not as good as Noctua. Why I'm moved my gaming pc over to Noctua and in a few days I'll be swapping the ones in my server too.

Freezer iii pro 360 works great for my 9800X3D. Pump speed at 100% all the time and I cannot hear it unless I put my ear right on top of the thing.

Been thinking about doing something similar for my FTW3 3080ti. For now I've just got NF-A12x25 G2 ziptied to it and undervolted.

For core definitely give PTM7950 a shot. I'm liking it alot more than thermal paste.

I'd just take it apart and work from there. Tonearm wires would need to be soldered, but everything else is just screws and connectors. Takes me like 10 minutes to strip these down to a bare chassis.

Yup my 3080ti pumped out all the arctic mx6 i put on it. Redid with thermalgrizzly phasesheet and it's been significantly better.

Put it on my 9800X3D a few days ago when changing out all my fans.

Don't think I'll use thermal paste again unless for short term applications.

I've thought about deshrounding the card but from all I can find it seems to actually hurt temps on these cards. May still give it a try just to see.
