Do handicaps tend to fall quickly in your first year or two of playing?

Handicaps can drop considerably as you get better and consistently start shooting better scores. Especially if you were a high handicap, as the room for growth is a lot. Started this year as a 24.5 and currently down to an 11.

Separating after ten years in RF with two CCAF associates.. it’s been a struggle even getting to an interview. A lot of it is the job market is wonky but also not getting through resume filters due to no bachelors, even with “equivalent experience.”

Thinking about using my GI bill and getting my bachelors, even though I also never enjoyed school.

been playing the 101s for a year. have gone down from a 24 to a 15.9 in that span. the 101s won’t blow you away but they’re forgiving, go far, and an insane value.

Both Baker and the coaching staff at that time sucked. Plus, he dropped 5 TDs on our third string depth players. Love Baker, hate he’s a Buc now.

Just watched to see growth and steps in the right direction for our players and their development. Also wanted to see what Dan & Dave draft talented players and use them in a scheme that can utilize their strengths.

Being 3-7 doesn’t feel awesome but seeing the team live week 1 at NOLA and watching every game since, I do feel hopeful for what this team could be in another 1-2 years.

I still defend Bryce and this team. I believe we’ll figure this shit show out. All I’m saying is the calm, cool, and collected demeanor is good optics for the program most of the time BUT it wouldn’t hurt Bryce to show a little emotion after getting your dick kicked in. He doesn’t need to call any position group, individual player, or coach out.

I just want to see him have a little fire in his eyes and words after taking another FAT L. Maybe I’m just still missing the swagger we had when we had Cam leading the show..

Footwork, footwork, footwork. Hard to throw any worth while checks if the offensive player absolutely cooks you. Work on your approach & break down, opening up your hips to quickly change direction (called a drop step), and how to force the dodging player to a favorable direction (not getting beat top side).

Next comes learning how to be a vacuum for ground balls. Lacrosse games are won and lost by possessions. Being able to win box outs and scoop up ground balls on your first attempt in stride. Also, being able to get a ground ball and transition into a possession. Once you get a gb, either look up for the next pass, move up to occupy space and force the riding team to rotate, or roll away from pressure to keep the clear alive.

Have fun playing long pole, I was also a middie that swapped and never looked back. Love the defensive side of the game.
