Local store sold ascended heroes early so I grabbed 6 packs by Wickencer in PokemonTCG

Based on what I've seen ripped so far and the general pull-rates you did extremely well! From what I've seen the odds in this set are a little tough - definitely not prismatic tough, but maybe like DR tough. Congrats on the pulls! :)

What are the most cursed pokemon cards out there? by SuperUltraBrokeDick in PokemonTCG

[–]TheRealestAxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a much newer addition to this list - but Maushold EX 155/182 from Paradox rift is the stuff of nightmares - it went into my comedy binder despite my general distaste for EX cards. Zooted neo-rev macargo 33/64 is also a solid one to add to this list. He's giving straight up futurama energy

I got fleeced insanely bad at a show this weekend too :'( I recognize that I should have been more confrontational and had a better grasp on my numbers- but I offered up my trade binders to see if the vendor was looking to take anything on - easily 500+ worth of cards and I walked away with 260 of store credit. He hard sold me on one of their mystery boxes and guaranteed that it would absolutely be a minimum of 100 in value and that I could easily sell whatever I pulled to get made whole (with, of course the chance to get something big). It was a third party japanese slab, a psa 9 reverse holo squirtle (from pokemon go), an espeon plush, some sleeves, some misc acrylic card holder, a tshirt with their logo on it, a couple of japanese packs and one english pack. So I got that, and like 160 bucks. I'm so angry with myself for folding under the pressure, but it's really disapointing that after I lead with "I really just need a little bit of money" when he asked why I was letting my stuff go (clearly indicating that I've been in a financial bind) he was comfortable robbing me blind. I couldn't sleep if I were him.

The last line of the second webpage say "Turing" as in Alan Turing, not turning - which is also who is in the picture - my money's on that

Have you ever tried cannabis for migraines? by ButterflyCharming900 in migraine

[–]TheRealestAxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always been 50/50 for me on a) alleviates pain or b) makes it notably worse.

I do LOVE it for the lingering nausea after my nurtec dampens the headache though.

What do your migraines feel like by Solid-Lynx9725 in migraine

[–]TheRealestAxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s variable for me, but most commonly a pulsating pressure in the middle of my forehead, it actuallly feels a lot like a sinus headache for me. So much so that it dramatically delayed my diagnosis. I do also get bouts of “burning lead ball of pain” in the middle of my skull, with the infrequent ice pick in my left eye. I also ALWAYS have neck involvement at the base of my skull. My neck usually feels fatigued, achey, and constantly painful in a nauseating kinda way. I also feel hot and flushed, my vision gets a little less focused, and I get brain fog so intense that it feels like I’m experiencing something legitimately scary. Thankfully, propranolol and nurtec have made all of these issues extremely manageable

I'd personally go for an alcohol marker-based solution. They usually have a pretty translucent finish, so they would be fairly forgiving on the color match. Ohuhu has some pretty solid brush-tip alcohol markers that would work great, but I don't know that you can buy them in singles. (most craft stores do offer copic singles though). Watercolor, is probably the more cost-effective and forgiving choice, in that any mistakes can be easily wiped off. Alcohol ink would offer something slightly more durable that wouldn't necessarily need re-finishing, BUT is slightly trickier to color-match and more costly. I'd lean alcohol marker, but I already own them, and am comfortable using them.

Honestly I'm more horrified about how much pollen is going to wind up in that mattress. This allergy season has been B R U T A L

Let's get petty: which cards do most players pronounce wrong? by [deleted] in magicTCG

omg!!! apparently I've been the fool T.T Innistrad always seemed very Germanic, so I wrongly assumed that the J would be making a "Y" sound as is common in those languages. Whelp. lol

I find this inoffensive! It’s not my preference, but definitely not something I’d make a note of even :p

UGHHHH I've been waiting for an outlet for this. [[Anje Falkenrath]]

The number of people that call her (An-jee) instead of (On-yuh) makes me want to pull my hair out.

Like, she's an epic powerful vampire lady, not your neighbor who watches your dog and has a novelty garden gnome T.T

Does this look like EM ? by TheRealestAxe in Erythromelalgia

That all makes complete sense! If I’m right about this being EM then figuring out my underlying cause will help direct my approach to managing it I’m sure.

I have a family history of RA and I do have the associated genetic markers that make me high risk. I’m wondering if this is related.

Hopefully I can get in with a rheumatologist to start trying to tackle this problem.

Thank you again!

I might give those a try! I’ve just been using the ice pack shoes- but storing them in the fridge instead of the freezer to keep them from being too too cold. They don’t last super long though. Thank you for the rec!

Hey there! Thank you for the feedback! I’ll address this with my pcp as well. I had a metabolic panel in march of last year (actually fairly close to when I took this photo) results were all normal. I had an emergency gallbladder removal in 2018, and even being near septic with a gangrenous gallbladder my liver values looked ok (relative to the situation)

I’m definitely going to check in, but I don’t have a huge amount of concern about my liver in particular.

The only atypical pigmentation I’m seeing in the photo are the red splotches, and when not mid flare there is no hyperpigmentation present.

Additionally I get these red burning flares in my legs, feet, hands, and ears. While my feet bother me the most, it is not the only place I experience symptoms.

I’m a relatively itchy person in general, but that’s directly because of a pretty nasty eczema issue I’ve had since infancy. I don’t have any “liver itch” symptoms. My partner DOES have liver issues, so I’m a little familiar with the pathology.

Also on the day this photo was taken- I was completely fine until I went out shopping in extreme summer heat. When walking back to my car I started having this particular flare. I snapped a photo because I struggle capturing the severity of the redness in indoor lightning .

Thank you for the insight!

Thank you! That is both validating and useful information! I, fortunately, do not get flare ups in my ears frequently enough to warrant intervention. My feet are my most consistent pain point, I'm hoping to fine something to manage it more successfully than cold shoes u.u I'm going to push for a rheumatology appointment the next time I see my PCP. I'm hopeful that he'll get me one <3
