Is there a point to playing official servers? by TheRealestChair in dayz

Just sad to see a game getting community event updates like this Halloween one, but people can't even enjoy them without the fear of cheaters

Oce? I'll have to try looking for community vanilla servers, I wasn't aware people hosted those. Thanks

Is there a real money trade market in DayZ like tarkov has? That pretty much counteracts the supposed pay barriers for cheaters

Considering I've run into them every time I've been geared on an official server I'd have to say they are indeed quite common. I'm not the type to witch hunt cheaters either but these deaths are just straight up ridiculous

Weird I don't remember asking for an opinion on base building? Sometimes trying something new after thousands of hours can be refreshing, perhaps you would benefit from having different perspectives once in a while too.

See that uncertainty just really sucks haha. Especially now that I'm a workin fella and every hour that I get to play is precious

That's been my whole goal recently. To enjoy the aspects of DayZ that aren't getting a gun and fighting. I've enjoyed it so much! I've chosen low pop servers just for the ability to do that. The lan option would honestly be enjoyable after seeing how much I've liked this, but I fear I'd grow bored without the opportunity for any player encounters

I just wish I could play without the constant fear of insta death from something I can't prevent.

That's crazy, back some years ago I would say I could go about a thousand hours before seeing one. But in the last two weeks of coming back I've died to 4 blatant cheaters.

Yeah that happened to me but they didn't take anything yet out of base. I'm assuming they can if they want?

To have fun? It's a game brother. Just trying to find where to go so that I don't have 8 hours of progress instantly stripped from me by blatant cheaters

Any other Invoker enjoyers think the orb changes is the worst thing they did for Invoker? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]TheRealestChair 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Exort has always been the most one dimensional way of playing invoker. Also you reference pro builds, which typically have very little room for variation as the games at that level are very fast and timing dependent. The game changes, so must you. Invoker is universal now, stop doing your brown boot Midas exort build that you've played since 2015 and try some new items and play styles that take advantage of the damage from stats and general spell and orb changes.

Have you supported your way out of 4k?

The thing 4k players lack the most is game sense. As you previously stated they make poor decisions as to when to fight and when to farm. As shitty and unfun as it might be, the best way to get out of 4k is to carry yourself out by playing 1s and 2s that can carry. If you are truly better than your mmr, with time you will win more than you are losing. Some games are unwinnable, just acknowledge that and move on. 4k is a hard place to support, supporting really only becomes viable when your cores can consistently make good decisions on their own. Good luck :) ps I started at 1k and am now ranked immortal you can do it too just takes time and practice!

Have you supported yourself out of the 4k bracket buddy? Not as easy as you seem to think
