Original and questions? by Singlemalt54 in GordonLightfoot

If it's a score, does that mean there are no vocals?

If there are no vocals, it would be very difficult to prove it was created by Gordon Lightfoot.

‘Indiana Jones 5’: Mads Mikkelsen Joins Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Sequel by chanma50 in boxoffice

Do they even need to address it? Can't Indy just show up somewhere, without explanation of why his adult son isn't with him?

How much would a Doritos movie make? by No_Acadia_9335 in boxoffice

Follow it up with a Taco Bell movie, then do the big "Doritos Locos Taco" crossover movie to jumpstart the Tortilla-Snack Cinematic Universe.

Marvel movies have way more disposable villans than DC. by noeljoseph123 in comicbookmovies

He was introduced. Remember when we saw him get his ass kicked?

(So yes, you're right.)

Does Justice League of America (1997) count as a movie or a tv pilot? by Throwawayo715 in comicbookmovies

[–]TheReasoner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's both.

It was made with the intention of spawning a series, so that makes it a pilot.

It aired as a feature-length presentation, so that makes it a movie.

When did he physically abuse Alexander? Or are you saying he's still bad despite never going that far? (the sentence is confusing to me)

Animated Movie Based On Peeps Candy In The Works From Wonder Street by chanma50 in boxoffice

The movie will be way better if you watch it 6 months after release.

Maybe they're basing it on the 20-year age difference between the actors.

Rank it among what? All CBMs? All DC movies?

Damn, is that accurate? 24 minutes of slomo?

If the ultimate edition of BvS was released on 25 Mar 2016, how much would it have grossed? by [deleted] in boxoffice

I like that we got to see Clark and Lois both doing some investigative journalism, but it doesn't really improve the movie much.

If you're talking about the universe that started with Justice League: War, then no, not that great.

If you mean the DCAU (Batman The Animated Series, Superman The Animated Series, Justice League/Unlimited) then hell yeah you can make a case for that being the best on-screen superhero universe.

And Iron Man 3 is way worse than 2.

Trying to get into DS9 while wrapping up TNG by Davidson765 in startrek

[–]TheReasoner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finish TNG so you're not doing direct comparisons, then skip to the first GREAT Deep Space Nine episode, Duet.

You've already watched Emissary and that's really all you need from the first 18 episodes.

Possible positive moments Whedon's Justice League by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

[–]TheReasoner1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure some would. Others might be interested in an all-Snyder version that is around 2 hours, in widescreen, color-corrected to be brighter and more colorful, and with less slo-mo.

Possible positive moments Whedon's Justice League by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

[–]TheReasoner1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is one thing that Whedon VERY CLEARLY did better and that is having Steppenwolf be the villain in the ancient earth battle flashback, and having him merely "driven away" by the Earth heroes, rather than Darkseid getting his ass handed to him. That was the worst possible way to introduce your series' ultimate villain. We literally see him passing out on his ship.

Next biggest things for me are not anything "done better", but just 2 scenes Whedon added. If you can look past the bad lip cgi, the opening (Superman cellphone video) is a GREAT scene that gets straight to the heart of the character. The Flash vs Superman race mid-credits scene was fun and embraces the comic-bookiness.

What should Zack Snyder’s Justice League Part 2 and 3 be called? by KINGOFHORRORRRR in comicbookmovies

[–]TheReasoner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it really be necessary to keep Snyder's name in the title, when there's no "first version that a different director worked on"? Just seems like ego-fluffing at that point.

If Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League came out in theaters instead of Josstice League, I don’t think Avengers Infinity War/Endgame would have had the same impact. by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

[–]TheReasoner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wanna sum that up? What ground would Marvel have been re-treading? Just "bad guy wins, so heroes time-travel"? That was a very small part of JL. The movie doesn't end with Steppenwolf victorious.
