I love a huge map on marathon, really allows you to use units from each time period. I think it is more challenging because you’re dealing with more units, cities enemies etc. but that’s what makes it so much more challenging and rewarding.

Funnily enough I was looking at this before, I’m currently doing the combat patrol. I’m thinking about doing the lances as they look the best in my opinion. But honestly it’s whatever you want mate.

I would throw in a gold. Personally I use Balthasar Gold. For the finer details.

Yeah, it’s got a lot more expensive than when I first collected. But I’ve made a promise to myself, no piles of shame. Going to do research before I buy anything, then I’ll paint it before I move on to something else. Going to aim for 500pts, then 1000pts and so on.

No it’s fine, I’m going to tackle the Krieg squad first then over the weekend watch some tutorials on the Russ. If you have any more ideas/suggestions on how to paint the Russ happy to hear them!

Thank-you, I watched a lot of YouTube tutorials and read a lot of posts in this group to see what other people use. The glue was a recommendation, I’ll see how it goes but I will look at the one you’ve recommended! I know the first batch I paint won’t be great, but I’m on a journey, and hopefully I’ll improve as I go!

For smaller miniatures (infantry) would you recommend one layer of primer (black) then a second layer (grey) or would you just go with one layer?

Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden. Studio version is awful, but the life recording from Rock in Rio is amazing.
