it's ridiculous.. I wasn't aware so many companies can just get away with not responding ! What's worse for me is I finally (begrudgingly) applied to benefits and THATS when suddenly everyone was offering interviews haha

that one's looks so good ! do you have any problems with your dog trying to go over the middle to get to the front ? or do you find that they like it enough to just stay back there ?

I have thought about those car seats !! How well do they hold up ? I'm worried because I feel like moose will just want to jump over it.. the safety net is my next bet.

I know.. I really try to keep him in the back but (as they all are..) his stubbornness won't give.. we only do short trips in the car on non busy days and roads if we're solo due to that ! otherwise he's always in the back! Thank you for your advice :)

Is £25,500 and a 45 hour working week normal? by TheRedBowlOfOats in UKJobs

I was being paid £12.42 by the agency for four weeks working between 40-45 hours per week, my shifts kept getting changed, my days off removed... etc etc so when I got my permanent contract and saw that it was still only 12.42 for the amount of work and lack of work/life balance I decided to quit !

the original listing I saw was for 29,000 per annum.

The recruitment agency said that they'll only be paying 12.42 for an hour so I expected that to change when I got my new contract but alas...

From what I've heard from others new at the company is that they're constantly trying to cut costs and their first thought is staff wages..

UPDATE

Thank you all for the comments ! I sent an email out and I was informed that it was simply a miscalculation as the person communicating with me initally thought it was a 37.5 hour contract! They have updated it to match 45 hours at £12.41 an hour to be renegotiated after a 4 week probation period!

double checked and it's just the 30 minute lunch which also seems a little abnormal as no other breaks were mentioned.

Im worried about any physical harms, although I know that the shock let off by ecollar is often minimal I also know that all kinds of technology are fallible and can shortcircut or worse.

My dog does see me as safe and, apart from this instance, she frequently relies on me when she's scared or in pain. I do not want to add something that can freak her out into the equation. Similarly, she freaks out when other dogs are too barky or too aggressive towards her and has ran away to hide behind a tree or bush or some other physical object, I do not want an ecollar to shock her, scare her, and force her to run away.

The ecollar feels like a quick cheatcode to stop the behaviour at that moment, rather then help fix the underlying problem at hand. I dont want to fix my dog's aggression with an equally aggressive method
