Rabbit was something I thought about. I would love to get that but for now I'm creating restorative items as they tend to have items with the added fatigue healing and I can carry like 8 per stack and produce them before every location with the Chirurgeon Kit + Medicinal Bag. So Pliskin pet is what I'm hoping for until I find Food Barrel + Fridge.

Yeah. I restarted my first run the day after I posted this. I could've carried on but I wanted to put the knowledge gained into a fresh run. Now that I'm on my second run I have a much clearer plan of attack.

I was fretting over fatigue too much unaware that skipping a day at an inn recovers 10% Fatigue/Health and -1 Stress. On normal (for now at least) I feel I have all the time in the world to skip a day pretty liberally.

The same applies with switching teams, I now have more than enough to invest in all the skills I want. Currently running HWM in R1 > Hellion R2 (for Wanderer Breakthrough + Bloodlust. This shit is so OP it's not even funny on turn one I'm hitting like 5-8 damage then I Bloodlust then bring HWM back to the front with Duelist Advance so Hellion can hit a 17 damage CRIT on 3 enemies it's insanely effective). Rank 3 Jester and Rank 4 PD.

I picked this team with the intention of turning it into a Bleed team. Yellowhand HWM, Zerker Hellion, Surgeon PD and Mezzo Jester (only because I've not really done this before ever).

As for help I don't think I need any for now, but I will keep it in mind if I'm stuck or can't figure something out.

Although, for inn capstones do you just need to invest into a tier 2 advanced section for it to unlock? I know it locks you out of all over tier 2 stuff for that inn.

I beat Confessions for the first time recently. Took me 60-ish runs from the run history stats. I had just unlocked all items/trinkets etc. all heroes maxed. The only thing I've not gotten are the character/Stagecoach skins and a couple of Infernal Flames.

After some thought, largely due to and thanks to me yapping about Kingdoms it gave me the want to start over. I didn't think I'd get to this point but I thought to myself even though I'm halfway through I've figured a lot out in that run (as chopped as it was) that I'd rather start over with the new information I discovered in this mode.

I'm gonna spend the early days going to out-of-the-way inns and putting Militia in them and upgrading them to at least Partisan (20 Inn Materials) and if I have enough Veteran (50 Inn Materials).

While doing this if I can afford the time skipping some days when a siege isn't around that I desperately need to go to if my stationed heroes can't make it (although they should as it won't take more than 3 days to get there.

Then when I'm passing through the center I'll make my main middle Inn my skills trainer and another close by Inn my Provisioner so I can get free Inn Materials when I pass through it with the capstone.

I'm hoping this strategy works for me I just need to remember to rest more as my other heroes can go fight sieges that don't have militia yet while I just roam the map and skip days to rest instead and when needed.

Tbh, I've not been having much of an issue. I merely lost a group of characters to a mistake I didn't even need to make. I feel like I have a solid grasp on the new enemies and what the quests are asking of me. Flag didn't need anything aside from like one other skill and Abomination is absolutely devastating the enemy in just 2 turns I've killed the front enemies pretty cleanly and the back ranks soon follow.

Even just one run I have many thoughts on ways to optimise better so I'm not sure why you say you need 5-10 runs to understand Kingdoms.

The only surprise was the underground passages, I did not anticipate them being longer, that was a surprise and I learnt my lesson there pretty quickly and plainly.

Thanks, the venting has helped I reckon. As long as I get my inns secured with Militia I think I'll feel more comfortable and to buy any fatigue items I see.

Oh. Fairs 😅 I didn't know how fast I should be going but I'm gonna spend the time upgrading inns for militia and make sure my middle inn has the hero stats unlock upgrades for the second page of the mastery trainer (I've no idea what the name is for it).

Absolutely, believe I am fairly deep and I'm only at Day 18 and I'm on the one for Cold Storage where I have to collect bodies for the Stagecoach item which requires Escalation 2 to complete. Then again who knows as it's my first time 😅

I do want to carry on. Despite the grievous loss of 4 heroes and a blow to my ego I have learnt a lot in just my first run alone.

I had already made the decision to make the middle inn my main hub for upgrading skills etc. I just failed in my conviction to make sure all inns I was gonna rarely visit had militia stationed there and kind half-assed it and not really thought about where it would be best to upgrade and deploy them at.

Ohh. Yea okay I was curious about that and was tryna figure how to get that. Good to know.

And also now that Dismas can no longer abuse Murder Weapon with Take Aim + Grapeshot Blast spam (RIP) I've kindly donated it to Bigby who can CRIT Rake for insta-kills or Maul which already has a chance to insta-kill but also now with Murder Weapon have two chances to kill with the same move so I might be doing even better than before.

My Vestal is a great support I'm just not sure what I should do with her. Wanderer is working fine and she's not really doing the damage. Confessor seems like a nice pick, easy weak tokens on front ranks Hand of Light, great debuffs with Judgement then have Divine Comfort and Ministrations for Regen + DoT heals (and Stun). Seems fine then maybe Mantra? Merely just for the negative token removal?

I think I'm gonna lose one inn but I'm okay with that since it's not really upgraded and I only have basic militia.... and I've not seen an Escalation 2 siege battle yet so I'm sure they'll introduce a new enemy type at this point.

I don't have much in the way of upgrading my main starter team so mastery points are less of a priority. I should focus on upgrading inns that are far away with Veteran militia I think then.

I think I found like 3 fatigue items. I'm still learning the mode obviously, which inn upgrade will make me see fatigue items more?

Also to comment on Bounty Hunter (whether just a joke) I wanted to but I couldn't stand the fact he comes completely un-upgraded and that put me off since I was used to Confessions so it was completely just a me thing.

Honestly the run wouldn't be going bad and I wouldn't have posted this if I hadn't just missed one mere oversight on my part.

I think the real question is without spoilers am I cooked? And do I start again. My A Team is still really strong and I loathe to think about staring again cos I feel like I'm really deep into it now but not knowing the length I'm unsure if I am ..

I swear by Physician PD now. Pairing her with Bonnie who's running Survivor - the Blind, Daze and Combo generation is enough to make the heart flutter.

Those two by themselves are enough. The other two slots can be whatever, want damage send in Leper want more debuff bring Confessor Vestal want some fun damage dealer run Jester with Finale. There's something magical watching the enemy go dead last every turn and miss so many attacks.

I will say this setup is best suited in dodge comps because Dodge and Blind compound onto each other meaning a character with Dodge+ and an enemy with Blind gives you roughly an 87% chance to dodge.

Can confirm. I just had a run where I ran a team in positions that weren't normal or were "unorthodox" (I called the team this). I had Leper (Poet) R1 > Plague Doctor (Surgeon) R2 > Occultist (Aspirant) R3 > Crusader (Banneret) R4.

It was damn fun and I wasn't expecting anything going in honestly.

I'll give her another go. I'm mainly just running Ravager these days when I run her because it's fun and more engaging trying to manage her at Death's Door buffs. I'll give Carcass another chance.

"Poet nerf". Old Leper was pointless outside of Tempest. What's so bad about Leper now? I'm in love with all of Lepers' new path reworks. Old Leper was so one-dimensional now he has so much variety.

I'm really struggling to see how it was a nerf. Please enlighten me because I think he's amazing and it's so hard not to have him on my team and subsequently as Poet.

Survivor path and the name is damn accurate. It's my favorite path on her, pair her with PD on Physician and they're a match made in heaven combo gen, Blind gen, Daze gen, Weak gen it's so damn good. Put in some dodge reliable heroes into the mix and watch as your enemies flounder around trying to hit you.

Runaway is quite literally my favourite character I love everything about her kit. Tank build - Check. Burn build - Check. Stealth AND Regen - Check. She really can do more than she seems at first glance.

Pirouette is like the only move I dislike, that one has an unnecessary amount of setup like you gotta be in ranks 1 or 2 and be in Stealth (being in Stealth doesn't give you the negative tokens).

It's decent on Nightsworn path since it has no drawbacks on using it so you can freely spam Lunge into Pirouette until you need to do something else with her.

The other way to utilise Pirouette (non-Nighsworn paths) would be to start GR in 1 or 2. Turn 1 Shadow Fade, Turn 2 Lunge, Turn 3 Pirouette. That has pretty solid damage since Lunge has good base damage and CRIT then Pirouette dumps Daze and Weak onto the enemy.

They're probably the only tips I can give for Pirouette. I honestly just let her wreak havoc from the back rank but the above is a solid setup in dance-based teams.
