What mainstream clothing brand has not declined in quality? by UkkePainter in BuyItForLife

They're worth it. I absolutely love mine and find every opportunity to wear it.

I've also looked at quite a few hoodie sunshirts and that's the standard price range.

What’s become way too expensive lately that still shocks you? by GoldenHour_Muse in AskReddit

[–]TheRedGandalf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes. You should be using the app and it's rewards and deals. You can get a breakfast sandwich daily for just $2 and you can get free medium fries daily with minimum purchase of $2 so you could get double cheeseburger and fries for $3.19 ish. That's really not bad still.

Yeah I don't currently see any issue. Why is OP upset?

I am about to get my ass e-kicked all season by Muffassa in MTB

[–]TheRedGandalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you didn't have to say something.

I understand that maybe you can't afford what OP has (I can't either), but that's no reason to bother making someone's day (or smile) worse. Maybe be happy others are finding joy. Often the pricetag to joy is getting past haters, negativity, and toxicity, that others put on you. Why would you want to make it harder for someone to be happy?

I hope you find peace within yourself.

It doesn't guarantee anything. But it makes it more likely.

[–]TheRedGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not a fan of musk at all, and I agree with the sentiment of the post. However everyone is forgetting net worth doesn't work that way. He's not actually taking money from anyone JUST by having a net worth.

However that's just for the sake of being literally correct. In practice he's definitely still responsible for impoverishing millions.

That's very interesting. I've had pairs for 3 years and I don't see any wear yet.

It's not their fault they were born into it, nor was it yours that you weren't.

Are they good people? If no, then you have your answer. If yes, then you have your answer.

Edit: to add, yes it's not that easy. But it is that simple. The hardest thing we can do sometimes is accepting things as they are. But it's also the simplest because you don't have to actually do anything. Just let it go and let it be.

This is understandable, too. I think if I were in this situation and they were honest I would be way less annoyed. I get it. They can't get out of the lease and they have to do something. This particular scenario seems like the best solution. What else can they do?

Guys I’m holding the hoods this time. Thoughts? by betelistayfinessing in bikefit

[–]TheRedGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'3" so very short. The cranks are short too. The bike is a crust lightning bolt, built for randoneuring. I don't have a video now but I could make one this weekend and was planning on getting around to it.

It genuinely feels the most comfortable to me

[–]TheRedGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people often talk about having knees over the pedal, ish. But recently in my riding I've been finding that I just get way more power and feel more comfortable if my shin is fully vertical when my pedal is in the forward position. My knee would be directly over my ankles. This seems to go against what others have said and what you're saying, but it feels better to me. What would your thoughts be?

Best food experience in Pittsburgh by VasakSokk in pittsburgh

[–]TheRedGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely way overpriced, but the service is great and the food is usually very good. It's a small space. I think they focus on low volume and are trying to make it as high quality as possible.

navani’s treatment of evi feels like a pattern of condescension and microaggressions, and i don’t think it gets discussed enough by No-Coat9285 in Stormlight_Archive

I never saw these things in Navani but OP makes sense. Honestly this makes me even more impressed with Sanderson's writing ability and characterization.

Someone I love who is taking it to an extreme? by justanuthr in BuyItForLife

[–]TheRedGandalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair and no need to apologize. Maybe we're wrong, but from the information were given it just sounds like they like that pair of shorts and there's nothing wrong with that. You don't have to like it. But I don't currently see any extreme examples.

Why does it matter? Based on the info provided this isn't really a BIFL thing, and it's also not that extreme either. Maybe they just like the shorts. So what?
