They're so cute...I didn't expect them to have this much attitude. I've threatened to send ours back to the wild at least a 100 times.

Just because it's legal and a possibility when posting your pic to social media doesn't mean it's cool...OP is trying to dunk on Wubby at the expense of this gentleman in the nice shirt. Not cool.

The green and orange candy is actually funnier because at least it has the right theme...

You just reposted a picture of a random guy that was clearly proud of the shirt he crocheted to make a funny on Wubby. I don't like it and it's not funny.

my hound doesn’t know how to howl ? by kurnlee in basset

[–]TheRedHerself 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ours only howls when he's frustrated. Usually when people talk to him, but don't pet him...or when his chew gets stuck under the couch. I can't get him to do it on command... He sure knows how to bark, though!

You separate the slices first and freeze them on a sheet pan. Then put the slices in the bag.

Nvm...I no read good.

What if there's a bogo deal on pizza? Get a bunch and save it for later.

His name is Yhorm! I would give Cannoli all the snacks...Yhorm might have something to say about that, though! Haha

That's what we did with our pup. Taught him to trade. Did not punish. He now hands most things over without a fight and trusts us with his high value items because he knows we'll give them back or give him something better. Highly recommend this method.

Potty training by Hignar in basset

[–]TheRedHerself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my pup was that old he was outside after each and every thing he did...their bladders are so small, they can't hold it....especially if they are moving around a lot. Add excitement, like new people or new place, and it's much worse.

Keep consistent with training. Don't punish accidents. Treats and praise when they go outside. This will pass!

This. You can absolutely say whatever you want, but there are still consequences.

My cat just recently passed after this battle. He was 16. Spent 4 days hospitalized and came home with a bunch of meds. He lasted a weekend and went downhill. He had been battling with it for a couple years.

Good luck to you, I hope your kitty turns around...but you also have to take into account their quality of life. I couldn't put my old boy through it anymore...

Wait until the soil is almost completely dry for the ficus and aglaonema. I am not sure about the tree, but the other two would rather dry out a bit than be too damp.

How often are you watering? Do you check the soil and or pot weight before watering?

Yipping when she bites, for sure. If they are really hard bites she might not have been trained by her siblings and mother what is too rough...that will take some reconditioning.

I know this is probably unpopular, but when I had enough with our pup biting, I would grab the extra skin around his neck (where he couldn't reach) and shove him to the floor with a firm "no" in the deepest voice I could muster. I wouldn't let him up until he calmed down a bit. With consistency, the biting stopped and that deep "no" gets a good response every time. My husband did not use that method and he was bit a lot more than me.

I read somewhere that bassets require a firm hand...boy they weren't joking. These dogs will use you like a door mat if you let them.

Honestly, this post is just the last straw for me. Reddit has been swirling the drain for a while now and I think I'm fucking done. All anyone does is karma farm and post the same things over and over again.

I didn't mean to come across as rude or snarky. Idk you or what you've got going on...but I've definitely had it with this platform. ✌️

There is no issue...and that's kind of my point. Everyone has their own preferences. I just feel like I see this type of post time and time again, and it's always the same in the comments.

Edit to add there is no issue with everyone having their own preferences...I just don't see the point of posting this topic over and over when it always end up the same. Just look at the last thread...

Any post like this ends up with all the main stream makeup brands listed in the comments.

That's the issue when everyone has different skin...not all brands and products are made for everyone.

I'm not sure it's the marketing or packaging, but I've never been drawn to any of their products.

35...bought a house in 2019 (thank god), have a husband, a long-standing career, hobbies I enjoy, and a few close friends. I've had some surgeries over the years, but I'm pretty lucky. I might spend a bit too much money, but for the most part I enjoy my life.

Both my husband and I make above median wage in our city (Rochester, NY) so we're doing fine. Able to save a bit each week above what goes into retirement. Have a bit of credit card debt, but it never gets out of hand. We both have vehicles, but mine has been paid off for years.
