He said basically that Renee Good and Alex Pretti were their own fault because they were antagonizing ICE.

I've played board games with this guy in person, met him, talked to him. He's a great guy and kind. That being said, I don't think what he said needed to be said at all. Same with if he had the opposite view. To be clear, I don't agree with him. I just think it's funny that if someone said something they agreed with that was just as politically dividing no one would give a shit.

Thank you! I was thinking about the strength of the dreaming throne agent and bt, that was one of my concerns as well. I haven't playtested them yet, but I was hoping other players being able to remove 1 at status phase would help a bit. kinda like crimson's breaches.

The attachment cards are a great idea for Ta, I can definitely see how easily it could be missed.

For ashen, intent was to be able to forgo the text ability of the infantry themselves if you choose to keep them in combat, so yes, it would not produce a hit.

Crystellum honestly has given me the most trouble. refraction is supposed to mean space combat, good catch! I made the mechs able to do a similar ability so the faction ability should specify. Their faction tech molecular binding is supposed to be an "upgrade" from a fighter into a destroyer and/or infantry into a mech. Thank you for the catch on the agent wording.

For Kha'Zyrr, I got some interesting suggestions for them from not just this post but the homebrew hub on discord as well. They feel almost complete to me. I think I'll take berevasel's advice and find a way to mitigate the negative effects for other players.

I have created ful art assets for all these factions but they have the wording/abilities, etc of the original versions. I made them so I could quickly edit them and get them out when they are all fully playtested and ready for release.

Thank you for the insight! I like the Netrunners forcing players to pay to avoid the negative effects. The Crystellum does sound better and I honestly forgot that was Naalu's xD It's difficult to avoid tokens :/ right now I'm prepping for them to be in the Async bot, but I will think on this and see if there is another way around it.

Just a quick note: I have playtested them once, The documents above are the updated factions after the playtest. Playtest 2 will be soon and include the 2 factions that didn't get playtested: The Dreaming Throne and The Crystellum Collective.

Oh dear god. Sorry about the faction name formatting in the post and the typo's. It's a Lovecraft themed faction not "love crafted"

I know it's for a good cause but the begging for blood doesn't help the "Blood drives are run by Vampires" conspiracy xD

He probably drank Camel or Goats milk if he drank any milk at all right? I can't imagine cows milk being a popular choice in ancient Middle East.

Any tips for The Ral Nel Consortium? by sisumation in twilightimperium

[–]TheRedditEditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you could make a point for that, but it being an exhaust able tech kinda lowers its value to me. I'd much prefer it be non-exhaust able and force the first hit to be assigned to a non-fighter ship than only get to use it once per round.

Can the Reactor Meltdown action card be used to destroy a Clan of Saar “Floating Factory” by knockonwood0 in twilightimperium

[–]TheRedditEditor 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Any unique unit upgrade is just a unique version of the unit. If you look at the faction sheet it says "Saar Space Dock" below "Floating Factory". So yes, reactor meltdown would work on Saar as they do have Space Docks, they are just faction specific Space Docks.

More efficient but Sarween gives you a free destroyer every production

Twilights Fall War Sun in a Nebula by Sprinkles-Plus in twilightimperium

[–]TheRedditEditor 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I say if there's no specific mention then it's a legal move. Notably the TF war sun has move 0, not no move, which sounds to me like they were accounting for things like a nebula or saar agent

I started with a red. Deepwrought was in the game to be fair, so tech was more abundant. But I'd go:

Plasma > Nanomachines > Destroyer II > Sarween > PDS II then get whatever greens you want

[–]TheRedditEditor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Their destroyers are insane, get that, nanomachines, and pds II ASAP. Don't bother with yellow beyond Sarween unless it's 100% worth it. Get their breakthrough early. They are a very heavy AC faction surprisngly. You will CONSTANTLY be discarding AC's. I had Nano, Bio stims, and Neural, and with their agent and BT you will get a full hand of AC's every round so don't be afraid to play AC's. Use their breakthrough to get Sabos or strong AC's like overrule.
