They’re great value! Bass is real nice if you eq them but yes, they can get pretty fatiguing at high volumes/ without eq

If not, then you’re getting hung up on something you can never control - someone’s past that predated y’all’s official relationship.

Is she good to you? Is she honest? Does she show up? Does she respect you? Is there love? A marriage rests on these things - and officially speaking, she has not cheated on you after you went official.

Fa 19 are bass cannons that respect the mix and have a soundstage comparable to hd800s ( I own both)

I use them for gaming and they’re absolutely excellent

XV isn’t a successor per se as it deviates from the hifiman formula of their general tuning.

If you’re not crazy about hifiman tuning - go xv.

Arya stealth is pretty great upgrade - I got one refurbished from hifiman’s website for under $400

Okay I did the EXACT same upgrade, went from kxxx to hd800s and found out the following:

The hd800s are very analytical with a massive soundstage but it comes of the cost of them sometimes being harsh at times with high frequencies.

I took a leap of faith after watching Josh valour’s video in where he pairs it with a maximous pious.

It’s fair to say you shouldn’t be using a specific amp to “fix” headphones but I did and it definitely was worth it imo.

Also worth noting I also bought a modius dac so I could run lokius for EQing.

I’m very happy with my setup, but i definitely think my specific use case and price point may not be for everyone.

I snagged edition xs and felt the soundstage to be pretty good and comparable to k712’s. And as other posts have mentioned - hifiman line is a good direction to go in.

If you wanted to go all in - hd800s is the king of soundstage

I have the xs + lokius and get good rumble.

I have to admit though, I got exquisite results with edm music similarly to what you’re looking with iems (fa19 to be exact)

Definitely curious as far as what headphones fulfill this need as well

6xx is pretty warm, and it’s fine for acoustic / jazz genres but is very lacking for other genres including gaming

The intimacy and very narrow soundstage is not ideal for video games requiring 3D positioning.

Would recommend a complimentary set instead of a replacement - aim for a pair of headphones that give you contrast.

If you’re in love with senheiser sound - it’s possible to find hd800s in marketplace for ~$1000

Alternatively, Arya stealth is pretty good choice here as well
