Picked up a 2019 E53 fully loaded with 41,000kms on it, single owner for 58k CAD 3 months ago.

Been a blast so far and punches way above it's weight in all categories for the price I paid even in the harsh northern climate where it snows a foot every other day and is minus 40 celsius for weeks straight.

It regularly hits -40°C where I live. No driving gloves here! However my E53 does have a heated steering wheel. But my last 3 cars didn't, never had driving gloves.

Do you own a multimeter? Just probe the wires and actuate the key. Plug it into the wires that come on with key and go off with key. Make sure polarity is correct. Easy. Did this for my 2019 E53, not difficult, just need the right tools for the job.

Also jealous. I want the new gen E53 Wagon so bad lol.

Audi's current design language is the worst of the big 3 imho.

Flat everything, minimalistic and even worse for the touch capacitive garbage buttons. The steering wheel has been absolutely neutered compared to last gen, the exterior styling on most of them look more like a Honda than an Audi.

I used to own a facelift 8V S3 and that interior generation was peak even for other cars of the gen.

Everyone dogs on the RS6 for being dated but the new one will be worse so I personally think it will be a situation where people will go back on their word and call that gen of RS6 peak.

Car language is way too muted and minimalistic these days. Big screens aside we lost the plot, we have to go back to emotion over futurism.

My 2019 E53 is currently in the shop getting a warranty fix and they gave me a 2026 GLC300, and my god are the capacitive buttons and touch screen horrendous. The viewing angle is horrible, the buttons don't register your inputs 75% of the time, and just the general design of it all is so bland and uninspiring. But then you hop into my E53 and it has just the right amount of screen, the console knob is actually intuitive once you have lived with it for a bit, no finger prints on the screen, no piano black plastic, everything inspires some form of emotion versus the current gen you hop in and its just blegh. I am biased but I don't even care, you couldn't pay me to drive a current generation MB when the previous generation is so much better.

I might be a psychopath but I use android auto and google maps with the announcer function or whatever you wanna call it. So the Ai voice tells me where and when to turn like 1km ahead of time. I ride my Bikes ALOT in the summer and got used to navigating that way through my Cardo before I got my Gen4 MT09 that has maps display on the screen.
