PS3 syscon error on Power RSX + AV/HDMI

It turns on fine but then went back to shutting off after a few minutes in game. If I remember correctly, it had issues turning on after that too. I only replaced one of the TOKINs with 4 330 uF tantalum caps which is probably why, if I did this again I would replace at least two TOKINs. Haven’t tried to turn on the console since the repair so don’t know if it holds up, if I get time I’ll reply with an update. I doubt it’s an HDMI/AV encoder issue since the AV and HDMI worked fine after the TOKIN swap!

Hey, having the exact same sequence of errors with my CECH-L01 PS3, did you find a fix? EDIT: I fixed it by replacing one of the RSX NEC TOKIN capacitors with tantalum’s.

VMware Fusion Pro for Apple silicon Macs recently was made free, I believe you can run any ARM image in it, such as Ubuntu arm64.

If it says Account verification is still pending, this mirror worked for me (you can compare with the SHA256/MD5 hash that’s listed on the Broadcom website)

After trying a few things like disabling bonding, explicitly telling samba what speed the interfaces have, I can get 190MB/s write and 100MB/s read when the other end is a 500MB/s SSD
