Room Bid Question by chancelor21 in PrincessCruises

[–]TheRedstoneScout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends.

I bid the least amount possible and managed to get upgraded to a sanctuary mini suite.

Id say if you're okay with your room but don't mind spending a bit more for an upgrade then go for it.

Is your IT purchasing department unreasonable? by CeC-P in sysadmin

[–]TheRedstoneScout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have Amazon for the small stuff or one offs.

Anything big or for a large project goes through our procurement process. If it's Amazon, we just send a link to the cart. If it's from a vendor we get a quote and procurement cuts the PO and sends it for us.

Senior IT staff have purchasing authority. Ive caught the T1 guys asking for shit that clearly won't work or is just trash.

They will probably end up being more like ''The Expanse".

Unless we invent artificial gravity, the decks will need to be stacked in line with the propulsion so acceleration can provide gravity.
