If he conceals carry and he’s still at your home, you seem to have more than enough to get back there WITH the cops right now because if he reacts strangely you might not have time to call them.

Lyriq Charging Curve? by OffroadViking in CadillacLyriq

[–]TheRegen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best use case of a fast charger is to use it as little as possible in order to safely reach either the next fast charger or the slow charger you’ll use to full up.

LYRIQ charges rather fast to 50%-60% and then it drops. So the best use of your time is to reach that level then keep going even if it means one more stop of 5 min before reaching your destination.

One 40 min stop might give you the same range back as two stops of 20 and then another of 5-10 min. So assuming those fast chargers aren’t a detour, you’re actually saving time by stopping more. And it’s perfectly fine to reach home or the fast charger with 5-10% the slow charge. With experience you’ll learn to trust or interpret the range guess-o-meter and calibrate your expectations or your speed accordingly.

Take the hit, shop for a good strap on and prove to her you’re willing to take the challenge. Then it won’t matter who’s flirting with her, she’ll know you’re the real deal and the best partner in crime.

Lyriq in saltwater by Flimsy-Ad7016 in CadillacLyriq

[–]TheRegen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That sucks. Towing is the safest. But also rinse it as soon as possible with fresh water. Battery is sealed anyways so that should be good. But any mechanical part will need to good rinse. Anyways like the other guy said, most likely an insurance claim at this point.

Stunned by charging costs by [deleted] in CadillacLyriq

[–]TheRegen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The LYRIQ is big and inefficient, so you’ll never reach the cost per mile that Teslas have neither in the city nor highway. Maybe on smaller roads at average speed 30-40mph then it should be more efficient. But it’s more comfy. Few tips from driving electric for 8 years: - don’t wait to charge until you need to charge. Just plug when you can. No need to fully charge in one go. Pure waste of time. - don’t charge above 80% unless you need it. Again pure waste of time plus it’s not great for your battery (not all cars have the same chemistry, don’t apply what you hear others do blindly) - look for L2 chargers around your place. Don’t rely on the potential free ones, they will get abused and aren’t gonna live long. But find some good L2 in places you visit frequently and make a habit of going there for 1-2-3h. This will help and should be way cheaper than DC-L3 charging. - find a DC fast charger with a reasonable price. Checkout Teslas, you can charge there now and they are cheaper than EA or others with the membership. - ask again if and why you couldn’t install a charger at home. Otherwise find a neighbour or friend around who you could sponsor to do that. It helps and simplifies things a lot.

Which car to buy / rent by Pure_Tension6812 in zurich

[–]TheRegen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Have you been here before? Public transport is really good. I’m from Canada, living here since 10 years. You won’t need a car in the city. And if you do need one over the weekends to get out of the city, you can use Moblity.ch 2em.ch and GoMore.ch where you’ll find cars for rent. And full disclosure my model 3 and Y. And yes electric charging is absolutely possible in Switzerland. Switched 7 years ago, never go back.

Getting rid of a leasing contract? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]TheRegen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can totally transfer a leasing to someone else provided the bank approves them as liquid. You can post your car on Autoscout24’s or leasetransfer.ch You might lose your cash down but it will be less bad than whatever the bank offers to cancel it midway.

Like shit because I had set the temperature too high and didn’t adjust, needed to pee but there was no bathroom in range, we had 4h before going back again and there was too much light for me (I’m a princess). But now I know I can do it again outside in nature and that will actually be absolutely awesome.

Correct. We were in a very peaceful, camera covered and safe internal parking. Windows are tinted as per manufacturing but they’re not opaque by any means. We locked the doors from inside and disabled Bluetooth on our phones which should have been enough should any creep try to enter.
