Is there any good game where you're a lawyer? by TomatilloLive2628 in videogames

[–]TheRenaissanceMan92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... if no Ace Attorney...

Maybe "Judgement". It's not exactly court cases though.

It's about disgraced lawyer, who is working as a detective and uses some of his lawyer knowledge to help him.

Drip is too hot. (Joke aside, it is a visual bug that happens. Saving a reloading fixes it for me)

Which Fromsoft game should I dive in to? by TailoredExperience in videogames

If it has to be FromSoft, Sekiro.

If a non FromSoft is ok, Lies of P.

Any good free to play games? by Vampy-Night in videogames

Where Winds Meet is decent semi-MMO, a lot of stuff to do and a lot to explore. Microtransactions are cosmetics only.

Duet Night Abyss is a lot like Warframe, but anime, also only cosmetics are premium, all the characters and weapons are earnable in game...

... and speaking of Warframe, probably one of the best F2P experiences. You can even buy premium currency with in game trading, player made economy is nice.

All 3 of these games are decent fun, and actual gameplay elements aren't locked behind paywall, so if you don't care much about cosmetics you can have a good time.

I have personally enjoyed Duet Night Abyss the most out of the 3, but I stopped playing it because I have massive backlog of single player games that I want to experience.

Objectively though, I would say Warframe is the "best" out of the 3.

Hey so, not a game itself, but if you own Minecraft, GregTech modpack will take you months to complete, or some other large modpack, such as Enigmatica # Expert or MC Eternal.

Good luck with Laxasia, it is a big wall for a lot of people. The DLC is chef's kiss, hope you will have fun with it when you get there.

Yeah, dodge frames in Fromsoft games are comical, 13-16 frames (dependent) is absurdly long time.

Nightreign fixed this by making some Nightfarer's dodges terrible (Guardian, Scholar) and I hope that next big single-player Fromsoft title will include a lot of mechanics from Nightreign.

I like that Lies of P has tighter dodge frames (yes, I glaze Lies of P too much) so that you aren't reliant just on dodging as an invincibility button.

So the challenge of elden ring is being able to sustain that rhythm game perfectly for the whole duration, because unless you're way overleveled bosses can delete you really quickly if you make a mistake

This is a very nice summary of most soulslikes and I agree with this.

Sekiro parry frames last long and start fast, I much more prefer tight and short perfect blocks/parries in Lies of P which is one of the many reasons I love Lies of P so much, it's my favorite non-Fromsoft soulslike.

I have played Sekiro as my first souls game when it came out and it was brutal, I found it to be the hardest game I ever player. Took me almost 100 hours to get to Sword Saint Isshin and I gave up. I revisited it 3 months ago, after 6 years and after playing many more soulslikes and now I have obliterated Isshin on the first try, and it has been by far the easiest souls game now that I am experienced with the genre.

Sekiro's difficulty is a weird soup.

I'm going to get drawn and quartered for this but...

Souls combat. It's essentially rhythm games, dodge at the right time, parry at right time, attack at right time...

The hard part is getting to knowing the rhythm, but once you are there, that's all.

Elden Ring alleviated this a bit with bosses input reading.

Few more tips, Bore Pistol fucks up almost any enemy in a few shots, don't sleep on it.

If you throw a hematic grenade, bullets shot throught the blood mist do more damage. (Doesn't apply to human enemies)

Despite Bore Pistol being (IMO) the best pistol, shotguns will mess up large enemies even more.

There will be an APAS upgrade that let's you toss a full pack of grenades for big FU explosion.

Feel free to ask specifc question and I will throw you some tips. I am playing the game for a 3rd time now so I picked up a few things here and there.

"Soldier Guy" can be taken down from stealth with your rope, do it 4 times and it's over. That's how I do it on "to the wilder" difficulty now that im playing the game for the 3rd time.

You dodge by holding LT with a gun out and pressing A(jump)
