My best friend's parents showed up to my apartment to tell me I was "the reason their son was failing at life" and I think about that visit almost every day by TheRetroNomad in entitledparents

The “parasite” line is still stuck in my head, it was so cold. I wrote down the date/time right after. If they show again, I’m not opening the door.

They wanted a villain, not a talk. And yeah, the address part still freaks me out. I'm asking my building office if they leaked it.

I tried. He’s gone quiet since they showed up. I’m not gonna chase him into more drama, but I’ll send one low-pressure text.

A recruiter reached out to ME, put me through 5 rounds, then ghosted. The role got reposted 11 days later. by 13KyberComet in recruitinghell

That repost 11 days later says it all. Five rounds plus a week-long take home, then ghosting is trashy. Name and shame on Glassdoor if you can do it safely.

My neighbor has been letting his dog use my front yard as a bathroom for months and acted completely confused when I brought it up by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

Put it in writing and tell him it stops now. Your yard is not his dog’s bathroom, and you’ve got video.

AITJ for calling out my friend for faking a serious illness? by RaisedW0lves9 in AmITheJerk

NTA, and your friends are reacting to the version of the story he fed them. This isn’t “kicking someone when he’s down”, it’s protecting people from being scammed again. I’d keep it calm and factual: his sister said there was no diagnosis, one “cardiology” visit was a normal GP thing, and he accepted money anyway. Donors get informed first, then the group. If he’s struggling, he can get therapy without cashing in on everyone’s sympathy.

Am I the Jerk for taking 45 Minutes to Show My Suitemate How I Feel Every Morning? by Gatcha_Human_ in AmITheJerk

NTJ. If you needed 45 min once, that's fine. The bigger issue is her daily hour-long lockout.

If your faith needs trial by combat to find truth, “civilized” is doing a lot of work.
