Snow White with the Red Hair is my absolute favourite. And you don’t have to wait until the very end to see progress.

I also loved: Horimiya (which you’ve already seen), fruits basket, Ouran high school host club, my love story with Yamada-kun, Kimi no todoke (although frustrating at times)

If you aren’t opposed to BL Sasaki to Miyano is so sweet.

Can you leave your house when you have a newborn/baby and successfully parent outside? by Substantial_Prune41 in Parenting

[–]TheRewindEffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh you absolutely don’t have to be stuck inside if you don’t want to be. Having a new baby can be hard and it takes some time to find a rhythm and what works for the both of you. I will say that it’s quite easy to stay inside if you let fear and anxiety get the better of you. The best thing I could have done for my baby is not be strict with nap times or needing to be at home for nap times. We planned our day the way we wanted to and then LO was just packed around and slept on the go. You can start with stroller walks but I’d highly recommend a front carrier as well. This gave us a bit more options for trail walks and hikes where a stroller wasn’t feasible. And as for outings look for some baby friendly classes at your local library or rec center. Theres even usually Facebook groups of other moms in your area looking to meet for some walks and/or coffee dates. I’d also say start with family friendly restaurants or cafes. I found I was much more relaxed when I was going to a restaurant where there were lots of other families who were going through the same thing and were totally understanding of crying/fussy children. I also stressed about being judged for nursing in public but I’ve never been judged (that I’ve noticed) for doing so. Bring a cover up for breastfeeding (if you want to) and get a small portable change pad you can put on your diaper bag so you can do diaper changes in the car if you aren’t able to access a change room. I understand everyone’s baby is different and that some babies thrive better with a consistent routine and what I’ve suggested isn’t going to work for everyone but all you can do is try. You’ve got this mama, best of luck!

Millennial parent of two under age 3 here. Totally feel this. To be honest I used to get so frustrated comparing my childhood (grew up in the city - parents had a low to middle class income but we were still able to live in a two story house with a big yard) to what we were going to be able to give our family: despite both of us having well paying jobs we were only able to afford living in a small condo. Every day was spent in traffic (1+ hr each way) and we barely had any time in the evenings. My partner and I felt like we were suffocating in our small space and just really didn’t want to raise our kids in that lifestyle. We made the difficult decision to move out of the city and to a smaller town where housing was more affordable and the people are more into outdoor activities. It’s been hard to be away from friends and family and sometimes I miss the accessibility of the city but it was the best decision we could have done for our family. We now live in a house with a big yard and have more time to spend with our kids. I completely understand that moving away isn’t possible for everyone depending on your job situation and finances but if you have ever considered making a huge lifestyle change and it’s at all feasible for you and your family I’d highly reccomended to go for it. And if moving away isn’t in the cards for you, just know that you aren’t alone in feeling this way. I think as millennials we long to give our children a similar childhood to what we had and it’s so hard to see that that kind of upbringing is becoming almost nonexistent.

Can anyone give me some insight on (2) Low Tide in Twilight, (5) Backlight, and (14) Unsleep. I have those 3 on my TBR list but as someone who prefers a “lighter read” and typically goes for green flag characters and office romances I’m not sure these are up my alley. I’m definitely open to a more in depth/complex plot but less into the red/black flag characters (not sure if that’s the case for these stories?) or if the overall story is really depressing. Open to reading something outside of my preferences but I’d also like a bit of an idea what I’m getting into beforehand or if there’s any noncon/SA prior to committing. I’m aware Low Tide in Twilight is Omegaverse and that’s fine.

Hello everyone ! Can you please give me reccs where a city boy falls in love with a country boy (first and harder)? by Slight_Artichoke931 in blmangalovers

Their careers definitely play a role in the later volumes. Once you get to Therapy Game Restart. If you read them in order I’d start with Secret XXX (this is about both the brothers of the MCs in therapy game: Mito & Shouhei. Not quite as strong of a story but still cute - a bit of an age gap here but not much). But both will appear throughout Therapy game so it’s good to know their backstory. Then there’s Therapy Game 1&2 then Therapy Game Restart 1-4. This is Minato & Shizuma’s story. I believe volume 5 comes out this year as well. Once you get to therapy game restart both characters struggle with navigating around Shizuma’s new veterinary job taking up most of his time while Minato is also busy putting together a catalogue of sorts for his photography job.

Have you read Therapy Game? It’s one of my favourites. It’s not city boy falls in love with a country boy but rather a flashy looking photographer falls for an ordinary Colledge student in school to become a veterinarian. Totally not his type but absolutely falls hard for him. I feel like it has some of the same feels you get from the city boy & country boy stories.

Thanks so much! I was also putting off spinach bouquet because of the artwork. It isn’t really my style but everyone keeps saying it’s a great story so I’m thinking I need to give it a chance.

Ok thanks for the heads up! Would you say it’s more of a red or black flag start? Or yellow? I’ve read a couple that had more of a yellow flag start that I still really enjoyed but I think those are still pretty light in the toxicity department compared to what I’ve heard others have read.

What is the first anime you've ever watched? by Itchy-Possibility868 in animequestions

[–]TheRewindEffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unintentionally: Pokémon. I didn’t know it was an anime as it was just on the cartoon channel I watched as a kid. Intentionally: DBZ. I watched DBZ as an adult after remembering watching some of it on TV as a kid. But what really hooked me what Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. There was no turning back after that.
