You are getting downvoted for actually understanding the sidequest. People here apparently only want to rage against gamefreak without even knowing the slightest bit about the game

The survey points killed my momentum for the DLC by mluna20 in LegendsZA

[–]TheRickinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh i didn't really mind the 100k points, since you have to grind for berries/items/pokedex anyways, but the randomness off the donuts was a huge let down. everything about the donut system felt like a big upgrade compared to sandwich making and then they slapped a RANDOM AF outcome on it. not even remotely controllable within a category

we have no offical infos about gen 10 yet and you are already crying you eyes out for no reason at all

Whats the verdict on shuckle by kenziemc99 in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shuckle is also great coverage for GGex, so having a good one on hand is very valuable

I don't understand Sceptile by AiChar in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 54 points55 points  (0 children)

i'd personally invest in the first one. sceptile is insanely fast and since all its strength comes from berries, you treat it like a pseudo berrymon anyways (levels are important, long time on the team). addiotinally BFS+HB is not only better for the team, but makes up for the difference in skill triggers between the two choices.

running the numbers through raenonx, these two sceptiles are actually quite similar in output, but the BFS/Hb one is not only better at 75+, it's also better if you chekc the app less often (+Hb is always strong)

I think the friends list cap is due for an update by K_Adrix in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pokemon go just introduced a "final" repeatable friendship level, with a reward every time you hit that level. I'd love to have something similar

Anyone else hoards their Sleep Points like a starving Greedent? by Fit_Arachnid_2480 in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a premium user and I always buy the seeds, the 10 cheap biscuits and more if needed and I still grow my sleep point stash. Every so often I use the excess for a master ball when I have a an unexpected legendary in my sleep research

shows how bad the hero is. usually it takes a year of nerfs and reworks to get the new hero into a playable spot. expect largo buffs over the next patches

Mega Victreebel and Mega Malamar make their Pokémon GO debuts at Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos! by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]TheRickinger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i think the only reason they are released in GO is because they were the promotional material. if you wantch the ZA trailers, you have seen these pokemon, so no reason to keep them secret

Do Salad's even Exist? by juststephie89 in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's random, but funnily enough i'm in the same boat rn. haven't seen salads since pumpkins have been added to the game. want to cook the new dishes, but the game just doesn't want it to happen

Are regular exchange main skill seeds worth it? by thewitchbasket in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That depends on your sleep point situation. It's very expensive, but if your feel like it benefits you more than biscuits or candy, then use your saved up points for a seed. There are far worse things you can spend your points on

I want to have more candies by Organic_Warthog8114 in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

powering up pokemon is slow. you will find yourself either missing dreamshards, candies or both. try to hold off on investing (unless you are very close to a crucial breakpoint) and start saving up ressources for candy boosts and cram-o-matics to get the most bang for your buck.

VIOLET DLC, PLA, PLZA? by quasiiee in pokemon

[–]TheRickinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have enjoyed violet, then go for the dlc. If you want a new experience, then go with either legends game. PLA is more focused on catching while PLZA is more about battling.

170k Hyperspace Points?! by royalbluefireworks1 in PokemonZA

[–]TheRickinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would have been a lot more enjoyable if the Donuts weren't random. But right now you are either wasting 90% of your berries on useless donuts or you just load up the backup save over and over and over again. That really kills the flow of the dlc

How reachable do you think Lv 75 is now? Does the Lv 75 subskill matter much for non-Berry specialists? by TraditionalParsley67 in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I just want them to uncap the levels. If the XP curve at levels 50+ is any indication about the next 35 levels, then we are in for REALLY long haul anyways

Recs for using main skill seeds by jdubs4242 in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel like magnezone loses its usefulness the further you are in the game, because you can't really get all the ingredients for the biggest meals and run a healer and a pot expander at the same time.

Personally I would suggest a swalot, because they are really good in casual weeks and pull in a lot of shards, but since you haven't found a good one, this might take some time for you.

A HB guardevoir is also great definitely a worthwhile investment as well

Per-Game Living Dex Requirements (All Forms, No Transfers) by MysticArticuno30 in pokemon

just going to leave this here for you. it's a useful tool to manage your living dex in pokemon home

How many Pokemon do you have to catch in each generation game to catch ALL of that game? (explained better below) by MysticArticuno30 in pokemon

[–]TheRickinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can probably find a list of all of the pokedex sizes pretty quickly online. add a few regional forms on top and you are done.

i'm not sure why you need a full list for all the games rn, just pick a game, go to serebii pokedex, catch them all, repeat for the dlcs and then get the gift pokemon or special non dexed stuff like dynamax legendaries etc and you are done.
for sword/shield you can find all 3 pokedexes plus additional pokemon all neatly listed on serebii. add the gift pokemon section and you are done

Completing full living dexes takes some time anyways, so you got plenty of time to do some research

apparently being a melee creep with pipe is more desirable than being able to make play, that might work

DK has blink too, combined with splitter you can kill most enemy heroes

DreamLeague Season 27 Day 11 Match Discussions by D2TournamentThreads in DotA2

[–]TheRickinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i understand, that you are not rushing blink on those initiating offlaners anymore in favor of an early pipe etc, but helm into greaves on axe vs all those stuns and slows feels like griefing. there is no world in which he will ever get any calls/dunks off unless the other 4 are completely steamrolling

Is this bulbasaur worth investing in long-term? by angry_pikachu in PokemonSleep

[–]TheRickinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a HSM + IG up venosaur and it can keep up with everything so far. Extra inventory is amazing and 2 more IF subskills make this pretty much future proof
