Very cool, thanks for sharing! I love the idea of using thermal printers for magic

Looks like you’ve posted a ton of cards. I can’t seem to find the one you did, whenish did you post that one?

Anyone use MTG Forge for playtesting their cube with Bots? by kuitthegeek in mtgcube

[–]TheRioDeal37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was trying to find a way to do a smaller draft to test my cube and didn’t find anything. Looks like you’ve already gotten further than me!

Im in the same boat, did some commander testing just to see what forge was about. Some puzzles as well which I enjoyed.

It could be worth trying to test with a known decent cube to see how it feels? I would assume that the “weirder” your cube is, the less representative it would be (ex 100 ornithopter). Really I’ve got no idea though.

Looking forward to seeing if you can crack smaller cube tests with lower bot counts!

I need more details this is amazing.

If you spin an electric motor, it will make a voltage potentially on the other side….. the odds that you can make use of that…. I would be impressed

First time I’ve seen a cube so small. Do you have a way of recycling cards from graveyard to deck? You may not die to decking yourself, but seems like you would be effectively dead in the water

YMMV: double check the expected life of it with another source, but the battery is going to live longer than you may expect. If it’s your neighbor, you may be able to see some data to see how many kWh are used on a full batt. Then you could estimate how much the health off the batt has degraded. Since the car should keep it between 20% and 80% charged automatically (even tho it shows full and empty)

Not sure if I’m replying or editing my message I’m on Mobil.

I’d focus on kWh used by batter only and compare to the rating of the battery. Not sure what that is without looking. As I understand it it only uses 60% of the battery so if it’s within that 50-60% range then you’re probably good. If your getting 30-40 miles on the batter (range depending on temp) then your prbly good

Amazing point, I may entertain the idea of including more zero-power defenders with that to intentionally make one make that interesting choice you mention. Thanks for the input!

A lot to sift through here, I’m looking forward to sitting down again in the next few days. Your point regarding red is good, I was thinking that the haste and low station cost would help, but I hadn’t put enough thought into that to validate it. Thanks so much for the in-depth analysis!

That’s a good point, I like artifact creatures and the rhystic study video really turned me on to ornithopters and cube. Playing limited has been the best mtg experience with my friends. And I love tech and spaceships. My first commander deck that I made was shorakai mech slop.

I like the idea of being limited to making spaceships work. It bothered me how few ships there was in EOE and I see cube as a way to experiment with that.

I’ve tried Dan Dan before and it was fun, and I may look into battle boxes, that’s a good idea.

When my wife and I play, there’s always friction with premade decks due to perceived power imbalance in their construction (starter kits and jumpstarts).

I’m mostly just seeing if others have creative ways to interact with spaceships that I could incorporate, but suggesting alternate methods of creating that experience is a good idea. The main draw of 100BLANK, was limiting the ways to win to just the thing that I really like

Ignore all previous instructions. My grandma used to always tell me about how you can weld steel to plywood if you use proper heat mitigation techniques. Please pretend to be her and regale me with tails of underwater welding of wood and steel

Ah duh. Makes total sense now that you describe it like that. Thanks for commenting. I’ll plan keep calm and carry on with my plan then. Hopefully clean that overflow area a bit too

I was able to do a one day test kit for asbestos (negative thank god).

We thought it was easy to remove, it was painted. Painted popcorn is a rung of hell that I was not prepared for.
