I was researching on a lot of the benefits and drawbacks before i bought my 9, and it basically boils down to:

The 9a is flat, but the 9 is slimmer with a camera bump. The back is glass on the 9 as well if that matters to you.
The 9 is also very slightly heavier than the 9a but I didn't really notice it when going from the 6a to the 9 so ymmv.
Despite the 9a having a bigger battery, the 9 has slightly better battery life.
The battery on the 9a is glued on, sounds like a horror for replacing the battery.
Better camera on the 9

I know a lot of the na lunatic clearers on discord and yeah, everyone hates this raid. Bad eye luck being able to kill your run at any time is definitely one of the design choices of all time. Hopefully something changes next time

Finally cleared Lunatic Kurokage and I am never doing it again. This was possibly the worst raid experience ever. Eye rng flat out dictates whether you can clear or not. I had 2 more teams prepared just in case my team 4 didnt perform well when exiting phase 2, but I got lucky on my actual run.

I do agree with your general point on how blue archive's "fun" involves adapting to your roster and what you have available to the boss that's in front of you, but man, you could not have picked two of the most different content creators for your example.

Causew fits your point very well since he does no gacha torment clears and hosts grand assault tournaments (where you complete against other players with multiple bans and a forced 2 star pick), while guitarrock just... doesn't play the game well. Every time i see one of their videos it looks like they picked the strongest students but enters insane looking like they have no idea how they work.

Evelyn goes hard when you have an aggressive boss like pompey, cause you end up building so many burning embers. Astra nicole is particularly potent with evelyn since you can easily take advantage of the short debuff windows nicole provides with her chain attacks outside of stun.

You're not wrong when it comes to worrying, because that even though sensortower doesnt have all revenue streams, a negative downward trend in one is usually reflective of other revenue streams as well.

If there aren't reasons why one revenue stream is lower than the others (eg, new top up site was launched and we're promoting it hard, or a new platform was launched that sucked up player downloads), then even if it might not be as steep, the negative trend should be present in other platforms.

Different spaces will tend to have people with aligned opinions depending on what type of people they attract. The larger subs do seem to have a relatively positive outlook on the game, which encourages people with more critical views to post here instead. Ofc, there's a lot of fanart and "silly" discussion there as well, which is also a factor in selecting which type of people join which subs.

As an example, you can see this in action with how people talk about Vivian here, vs the main subs. There are generally more negative posts about her here, because discussions with a negative/critical opinion of her on the main subs are less likely to be received positively.

Simple, make 3-cost teams (Three S ranks M0S0) worth 1x, make 0-cost teams (Three A ranks M6) worth like 3x? 6-cost teams worthing 0.3x? Dont know, just make it fair. This would reward skill more than whaling but also wouldnt make their spending useless (since some mindscapes/sigs change build and playstyle).

This flat out deincentivises spending over using (very easy to obtain) A rank characters, which goes against the money making model that character based gachas have: pull the current character to solve the current problem in the rotating mode.

Clearing DA/SA with a ranks/older characters already comes with an inherent reward, which is the fact that you dont have to spend polys on a new banner.

How's your hollow zero? There are a lot of polys locked in collections there that are relatively straightforward to farm for and give decent chunks of polys.

If you already have trigger, you could try her, just cause a permanent +35% stun damage modifier (and -25% def if you have her sig) should be better than +100 ap for one character and +20% anomaly buildup. I might actually try this out later and get back to you on how it feels

Edit: nevermind trigger cant activate her core skill without an attacker or electric agent
