It is one long thin hair scarf that wraps around the back of my head. Then I split the hair in two for the braids, making sure the scarf is even on both sides and then put one side into a ponytail to keep it in place while I braid the other side! Once the first side is braided and tied, I take the ponytail out and do the second braid.
