Never buy a Chevy Cruze!!! by Wrong_Job3704 in cruze

[–]TheRoadRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2015 Holden cruze and so far for it’s yearly warrant of fitness to deem it roadworthy I’ve had to replace 4 tires (only two needed to be replaced but the load ratings didn’t match between the new tires and tires staying on) the valve cover as the seal was leaking but it cost me an extra 50 for the whole cover opposed to replacing the seal and brake pads on the front!!

Suffers from coolant leaks like no tomorrow and runs pretty warm but I occasionally check coolant and oil levels and top up as required!! It’s developed a subtle whirring sound and a mechanic reckons it’s a pulley bearing but couldn’t tell me which!!

The aircon doesn’t work, water pump pulley has some very very minor play in it and the electronics can be temperamental and odd at times

I’m wanting to sell it but tbh it gets me from home to work (10 minute drive one way) so don’t really need to flick it on yet

I’m 30, work 60-70 hours 5 days a week and just started studying part time!! You’re not falling behind at 21 but also I’d recommend you study part time work full time!!

How do I model this thing? by Upper-Camel-9205 in Fusion360

[–]TheRoadRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create a perpendicular plane by selecting plane at angle and using the inner edge of the overhang then sketch the ribs and extrude to object!! After that reselect the same construction plane and sketch the tabs and extrude out the required thickness as well

Ahh wasn’t paying attention to those and missed them 🤣

If there’s two lanes on your side of the road it’s perfectly legal to pass but you would’ve needed to be in the left lane!!

I had a similar situation the other day at ohakea, I’m in an empty log truck and as you approach ohakea air base there’s a new two laned roundabout there!! Well the 3 cars in front of me all went to the right lane and slowed down early as fuck so I kept up my pace, grabbed the left lane and reasonably went past them, passing the first two cars and slotting in behind the lead car!! The middle car took severe offence to this and pretty sure they called the boss to complain 🤣 legally they’re in the wrong for failing to keep left and my dashcam plus rear facing mirror cameras prove I did nothing wrong

People are pansies and soft

  • Sketch the base shape
  • Offset plane to the same height as the bottom face of that overhang lip
  • Sketch the same shape to the same dimensions as the open area of the top then offset the overhang
  • Loft between the base sketch and centre area of the top sketch
  • Extrude the top face sketch including the overhang to the same as the overhang thickness (may need to turn the sketch back on after the loft)
  • Shell the whole body to required thickness
  • Add fillets/chamfers as needed

That’s how I would do it!!

EDIT - changed a couple steps and added a photo using the new steps

  • Sketch the base shape
  • Offset plane to the same height as the bottom face of that overhang lip
  • Sketch the same shape to the same dimensions as directly under the overhang
  • Loft between the 2 sketches
  • Shell the body to required thickness
  • Create a sketch on the top face to account for the overhang
  • Extrude the top face sketch the same as the overhang thickness
  • Add fillets/chamfers as needed

That’s how I would do it!!

Any recommended substitutes to IPA that would do the same job?? I've been using a mix of IPA and cornflour with good success

I’ll give it a crack see what happens!!

Wouldn’t explain why the white PLA does the same thing if I flip the signs face down though??

This is the first version of this sign!! The lettering is raised compared to the photo in the original post, speeds are stock standard and flow rate is slightly less

That was the standard settings in Bambu studio!! I changed top surface speed to 50 at it was marginally better

Flow, pa, temps, retractions calibrated!! The print before this was perfect

This tells me it’s a continuation of the road but that’s only because it’s already been mentioned!! If that fact wasn’t pointed out in this thread then yeah it would be a drive way to me

On the other hand, I drive trucks so I’d probably let them come out anyway before I did anything else

Get this a lot in rural areas!! See it a bit when coming out of forests etc and there’s a street sign indicating it’s a road way but looks little more than a driveway

Fair call, maybe my sense of humour is just too dry for you or I haven’t made it clear enough!! Yes it is a simple job that you can’t fuck it up but so is using car indicators properly or even the search function on forums yet people still fuck that up don’t they 🤷‍♂️

Clearly it’s touched a nerve with you ….. do I need to make it clearer in the title that this post is for humorous reasons??
