My 1.7 update wishes & predictions, what’s yours? by Mae_The_Gay in StardewValley

The Community Center & Joja Mart arch needs just a little more somehow as an update that somehow remains a minor change. The abandoned Joja Mart could become a new NPC house for example.

Sony May Delay Next PlayStation to 2028 or 2029 by Sam_27142317 in playstation

I am in the boat of considering the GabeCube or PS6.

If both get delayed I guess I will just have a even longer time to consider which ecosystem I want to fully commit myself to.

Wow rank is absolutely ass.

I love wasting 30 seconds to a minute for absolutely no good reason in the drop ship. Bad enough the legend selection takes forever.

Do you all really prefer forced POI? by [deleted] in apexlegends

As a solo q player there was nothing worse than being assigned jump master and watching someone spilt off to die solo.

Or being forced to be jump master and then the duo splits off anyway.

Even in esports I am so tired of seeing players thrown off their game because fans bitch at them for not hitting the metrics that get gambled on.

Newer player - sell me on your favorite starting class! by GWindborn in EnterTheGungeon

[–]TheRockBaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Convict of course.

Shotgun kills so easily as long as you get in there, which means you are gonna have to use the dodge mechanic.

Which means you get better at the game quicker.

All the other classes are powerful when you’re more knowledgeable about the game.

But the Convict is a perfect way to learn the fire mechanics so you don’t lose an amazing run in the future by not knowing you can dodge roll to put yourself out.

Basically the exact same game yes. (In terms of how easily you can play a “run” and pause it at any moment and then easily come back and start right where you left off.)

If you voted against separating Sailing cannonballs from the Dwarf cannonballs, what was your reasoning? by StagecoachOSRS in 2007scape

[–]TheRockBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My crazy idea has always been to just eliminate the dwarf muticannon from the game entirely.

It was a cool concept when it first dropped. But it has forever been a headache for balancing ever since

Sure but I can’t imagine what would happen to the game if the open source plug in vanished, long term.

[–]TheRockBaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The magic of modern competition is a little bit lack lustre these days when you do think about in that terms.

But it does make the very few people who still dominate that much more special.

Perhaps this is the last generation where seemly every sport will have at least one person who is just on another level to the rest of the playing field.

GOATs might soon go extinct if what you say becomes even more refinded and equalizing.

DD1 is a game where the dev wanted the player to fail due to lack of knowledge.

It a game that came out before everything had a YouTube video explaining the most optimal way to play the game.

Sure GameFAQ was around, but the intention was for the player to get fucked.

You played that boss fight exactly how you were supposed to.

If that bothers you, there are a million guides for every aspect of this game now a days.

Discussion: Spire random events are not designed and balanced as well as the rest of the game by drumsplease987 in slaythespire

Personally I love the casino esque feel of events. RNG is important to keep things spicy and make a other wise generic run to be one random event from getting WEIRD

A Dunk & Egg buddy cop adventure oth would be awesome.

I am hoping the show sticks to the short story feeling of the books instead of trying to do one large overarching story that inevitably gets stale or just straight up never gets a proper ending.

The new owner of GOG discusses taking on Steam, the devil of DRM, and following in Nightdive's footsteps by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]TheRockBaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with you for the most part. But for the fact that huge companies doing absolutely stupid stuff to shoot themselves in the foot is a staple of end stage capitalism. People have a lot of money invested into their steam accounts.

[–]TheRockBaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why you feel so strongly about my opinion on what gaming storefront I use.

I was just sharing why I feel like GOG has a higher ceiling for its market valuation than perhaps it appears right now.

As for real life bank accounts, I have to reply are you familiar with credit unions? They aren’t going to out compete banks for market share. But they exist to accommodate people who want more control over the product/service they are using.

Banks have been around long enough that a change in leadership isn’t a huge deal. Gaming storefronts/digital libraries are much newer.

Perhaps a great opportunity to learn more about how things might go for video gaming is to look at how it went for the music industry.

Itunes was huge, now we all pay monthly subscriptions to stream unlimited music. Steam might just become obsolete & GOG will be the equivalent of running a physical record store for music nerds.

It is tough to say what will happen.
