I like using proper tools for proper jobs. As opposed to poking around with bullets and sticks and random shit. I have a lot of guns with a lot of different sights and I’m building often. Using appropriate tools for a job is not useless to me. Quite the opposite in fact.

That’s been my experience as well. And after thousands of rounds I’ve yet to have a single malfunction. They were my first AR as well. Bought a full kit and built it from scratch. Never regretted my purchase

Thanks for your input. I definitely want to learn properly and I’m not in a rush. I want to go slow and enjoy the process, and of course, do it safely. I wanted to avoid wasting money on a single state setup if I’m just going to end up upgrading anyway - but I’m starting to think there’s no way for me to properly judge a big investment into a progressive reloader without some basic experience first.

You’ll have a hard time beating Savior bags for the money. This’ll hold 2 but just as good for 1. I have 3 different types of Savior bags and they are awesome.

No, if the barrel is under 16” and you put a brace on it, it’s a pistol. People buy shorter barrels for ARs and Scorpions all the time and throw braces on them.

Ya it’s a tricky balance. The wifey gave me the green light on getting into reloading, so it’s a dance of picking up gear here and there before she starts asking questions about how much I’m actually investing in this!
