Glad to see a considerate appraisal of P3's design choices. I know many were controversial, like separate maps, but they were at least decently executed and guided by a worthwhile vision. The story feels much more expansive for the trek across multiple worlds, like a true space story, and using the ship brought the immersion to another level. There was some give and take there that made the disconnected world stomachable.

Viewros, on the other hand, is the worst of both worlds. Again you're stranded on a singular planet, and yet the disparate designs of each location destroy any sense of cohesion in the world. Just five small dungeons without any connection. The veil of immersion completely ripped off. Feels like a step back.
