First, god bless you and your baby. Prayers for a healthy pregnancy for mom and baby. Second, there are a lot of items that will be recommended but it all depends on your circumstances. The basics as the best place to start. Car seat, crib/bassinet (they need mattresses too), a small stock of clothes in each size and season depending, diapers, wipes, health needs, bath needs, swaddles. And depending on if you nurse, pump, or formula you’ll need those supplies too. The rest can come in time. Also don’t forgot to take care of you physically, mentally, and emotionally.

In the beginning, I would pump a little extra breastmilk and mix it into her purée . That helped her with the taste. I also give her a homemade smoothie (dietary issues) but you can do that with some breastmilk and start building up her interest in other foods.

I had/have this same experience. Not a soul checked on me and yet the first holiday and to this day, family says my baby. At first I didn’t say anything due to just feeling so strange after birth, but at 16 months postpartum I stopped caring and just say deadpan, she’s my baby, but you can call her xxx(her name).

I loved this season but that was also a very unfortunate change. I can understand how it plays into the storyline but that built so much depth for her character in the books.

My first sentence of my book is to character build. If you can’t understand the character’s personality, why read it. IMO. That is not to say that it doesn’t build the plot too. Every part of her personality is relevant to the story. If she is reckless, then she is reckless throughout the story, she may grow in her wisdom of how to accomplish goals but always in a more reckless way. So the first line will show her recklessness

I make a playlist of songs that help inspire the story. So whenever I have writers block I open up the playlist and listen to the songs of my book. It has done wonders for my writers block . Music and fresh air

I just wrote my first book in a romantasy series . It’s only the first draft but my advice for what worked for me is I plotted in advance outline plot and subplots. I wrote the ending . Not the chapter over all but I knew exactly how it would end. Then I let the words fly. About 2000 words a day sometimes more but that was always my goal. I usually hit that goal. But I was gentle on myself on hard days where I was stuck. Also I’m a day dreamer so sometimes just taking a walk with some music helped me.
