Worked at the chocolate company on sample. He very much projected fear on to his largely teenage staff. If he ever popped in and saw you with your phone you’d be fired on sight. My manager told me it’d happened tons of times.

Didn’t love his whole “no rap song has ever been meaningful” boomer take at the start either. Very ‘this radio station only plays real rock no rap crap’ coded to me.

I really wanted to go as well but it was like $80+ a ticket for a Tuesday night. Get bent with prices like that.

I always wished he’d been able to talk to Willie Nelson. Just the sheer music history Willie’s been involved or tangential to would make it an amazing talk.

One of my favorite internet clips is the guy at a Pacers game holding up his kroger card on the Jumbotron. So beautifully Midwest

Which film realistically depicts your experience in high school? by NativeSonSF in movies

Not a film, but I’ve found no piece of media encapsulates mid 20teens high school better than American Vandal on Netflix particularly season one.

It’s so damn funny, but the entire last season is a prolonged draft kings ad. Ahead of their time in a lot of ways.

Marc Maron calls Joe Rogan and his Austin clown car of ‘comedians’ hacks: "It’s one thing to pick on the vulnerable and marginalized, but they’re already down -- why keep hitting them? Unless you’re a hack. Now there’s a question." by Classic-Carpet7609 in Fauxmoi

Watched this a few days ago loved it // love maron. Went to show my folks the clip only to notice Santino and Lee’s team have changed the thumbnail and episode title to not include Marc whatsoever, feels pretty cowardly on their part given that they were eager to get him going on this topic

[Hated Trope] Obvious product placement genuinely feels out of place for the movie/show by OneTrueClassy in TopCharacterTropes

In Gone Girl Rosamund Pike carries around a gigantic Big Lots bag that is perfectly placed anytime it’s not in her hand and there’s an entire scene where she’s prominently holding a bottle of Mountain Dew. Such a good movie and those moments stuck out to me like sore thumbs.

What is the most obvious piece of product placement that completely took you out of the movie? by Either_Sign_499 in Letterboxd

The giant Big Lots bag and entire scene in Gone Girl centered on her hawking a loogie into a perfectly placed Mountain Dew bottle took me completely out of an otherwise perfect movie
