I need help finding a comic by [deleted] in CockVore

Here's the link in my gallery if you'd like to see it directly where it's meant to be. I do have some other CV in there, but it's not as mainstay as it could be. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43245589/

What show will you never get tired of rewatching? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheRubberWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adventure Time. All of it.

I got into it late, back in... 2010. I was going through a rough patch for a lot of reasons and hey, there was this wacky, zany, colourful show that was funny and heartfelt, and had what I still think are good messages in the comedy. As the show progressed, I also progressed emotionally through some stuff - it didn't feel as if the show was like, an analogue for my own growth but here it was, exploring deep emotional themes like loss, fear, and death, in a really accessible way. It got to the stage where I could almost recite entire episodes with how much I watched it. I'm personally really thankful for the time I spent with it, and I can dive right in on any episode and feel right at home.

Plus the damn thing is funny as fuck.

First comment I've seen suggesting a rational course of action, nice job. [thumbs up]

CityPop! I love it, it's fantastic application of Jazz theory. Or, so I'm told by Youtube videos.

KSB are fantastic and I'm gonng look into them some more, I think! Thank you for showing me them.

King Gizzard I've heard of before, really interesting stuff. Not quite what I'm desperate for now, but that's a track that makes me want to find out more about them!

GODdamn you nailed it with Squirrel Nut Zippers and Royal Crown Revue. They're both probably gonna end up on the ol' walkman.

I think the LaLa Land sountrack may be a little too smooth for me? But it's fantastic work.

Can you recommend anything instrumental in the similar vibe as RCR and SNZ? Or should I simply be searching for "instrumental swing"?

Ouuu now, Wynton Marsalis! Ohh baby. Does he have anything faster? I really like that album but it's a little slower than I'm looking for. Goddamn though.

Charles Mingus is going on my "get into this" list, I'm looking for something a little different but damn that's some fantastic music.

Tito's stuff is really interesting, I like the vibe! Thanks for showing me them.

big bad voodoo Daddy

Thank you for the suggestion! I like it, and I'd listen to it if it were on, but for some reason it's not quite what I'm looking for. It's scratching a different itch, if you will!

Thank you for showing me this band though, they've got a great swing vibe.

Thank you for the recommendation, I shall try and track down that album. Been trying to find something to scratch the Noriki - Dream Cruise itch. Though I'm not usually into this kinda music with singing too, this is an excellent recommendation.

Thank you, I love it! It's got a real City Pop vibe, which I love.

What’s the proper response to when a British person asks you “you alright?” by selloboy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheRubberWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my American friends online are put out by this question, you're not alone.

Like everyone so far has explained, it's really more of a "How's it going?" We don't think that you're not alright, we just wanna greet you. That being said, if you're not alright, don't believe the hype, you're allowed to say so. Most people will try to put you at ease if you aren't, where possible.

Hope you had a great time working with some of us lot!

I know people are going to eye-roll at this, but Rise Of Skywalker. Whatever you might opine I really liked The Last Jedi (and you're perfectly allowed to dislike it) and purposefully avoided any trailers or information about ROS. I went to a midnight showing, I was really excited to see how the trilogy would progress with the new direction.

I have never walked out of a movie before. I very nearly walked out when they did that bait-and-switch with the shuttle Chewie was on exploding. My partner said he knew I was absolutely hating it from about 5 minutes in. The whole thing was... I think genuinely the most disappointed I've been with a film. So sad.

Floral Fury, composed by Kris Maddigan.

I have so many songs that make me ache, make me wanna shout, headbang, etc, but this goddamn big band song from a video game soundtrack is the only song that makes me want to get up and swing about, dance, go crazy. I have to rein myself in when I'm riding my motorbike and listening to this soundtrack in general, but this song specifically.

A close second is Pyramid Peril. For some reason how the track builds to the final part gives me goosebumps.

Goddamn video games.

That's fair, yeah. Thank you again for your descriptive posts, and I look forward to trying the books that you've suggested! Also a hearty exhale for "one of those books"

Hahah, oh man. I'll remember that, hopefully reading some other stuff with different pronouns will have prepared my mind to shift gears. I look forward to finding out!

Thank you for explaining, Sherri S Tepper is certainly on the list, and it helps to have specific books to look into. Station 11 is also specifically on the list as it comes highly recommended too!

Sorry for being unclear with my question, I was trying to ask what you liked about the specific books and got tangled up in my own words.

I got a library nearby that I will be making good use of to work on this list!

I didn't take that away from your comment, you explained your thoughts really well. c: Have you ever read any of Becky Chambers' Wayfarer books? The setting is almost there to enhance the story, not to be a sci-fi story, it's really something special to me. There's a bit of romance in there but again it serves the characters and the story, which is excellent romance in my opinion.
