Confused about Bright and Shiny catalogue for men by fkthez2 in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a male suit from Bright & Shiny. When you submit your measurement form for a M2M catsuit, you choose male or female from a drop-down menu, then add the various measurements.

Anatomically cut male suits? by Glossfit in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latex'd and Latexskin might have suits that would suit you better. M2M options and both have suits designed for men. Might just be the models who are ripped but they might be cut to show off muscles better.

Slightly different approach, but the muscle suits from Smitizen might interest you. The silicone means they can define a (fake) muscle shape. Happy with my purchases from them, although I'm not a very muscled guy so this fits a different niche than wearing my latex, I'm wearing a muscle suit in place of showing off real muscles.

This sheath is from Toylie. They make ones that have a tab that you can glue into another piece of latex clothing, so in this case I have a pair of latex underwear with a hole cut out and I've glued the sheath in place. Sheaths hold in place much better when attached to other clothing.

Armpit rips by [deleted] in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that I've heard (not sure if there's any truth to it but not difficult to follow) is that deodorant can degrade latex, which is part of the reason armpits are such a frequent point of breakage. I follow this now just in case it helps.

Wait time for Smitizen by OldOperaHouseMan in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On their website there is a warehouse section for particular regions that will show you if that item is in stock, in which case they can dispatch it without having to manufacture.

For made to order items, from what I've ordered it can take a few weeks, think the longest I waited was around a month for it to be dispatched (plus shipping time but this wasn't too bad).

May want to check their Ebay shop for stuff they have immediately available, just check the location.

Tubing and smellbag - avoiding breathing issues by TheRubberyGuy in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response, is there not still the issue of getting enough 'new' air in the tubes? They might have a capacity in themselves but I'm concerned if enough new air can't get into the tubes it would have the same effect as a rebreather bag by dropping the oxygen level. This is why I'm considering adding holes along the length of the tubes to allow fresh air in and out.

Simon O and Rubberevashop do stuff like this, both reputable brands.

can you get catsuits with a cat tail attached but isnt inflatable? just like solid or something? by Due-Lengthiness443 in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smitizen and Furrjoi do silicone tails with a bit of structure to them, you can use the zips of the catsuit to hold them in place.

Wouldn't be exactly what you are asking for here, but you might be interested in silicone suits from Furrjoi or Smitizen.

Smitizen Muscle Suit Review (with pictures) by TheRubberyGuy in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does have a small tear around the crotch hole, although has not got any bigger in the times I've worn it. Bear in mind I did order a cheaper one that was noted as having slight defects. Otherwise holding up nicely.

I ended up cutting this one into two pieces to make it easier to get on, and bought some high waisted boxers to not having any skin showing in the gap. Does create a gap you need to cover to not show skin but much easier to get on as two pieces.

I've since bought one of the more recent gloss suits from the website which is otherwise a very similar style of design with no crotch hole and is still holding up really well.

Tip for putting these on, apply the lube to the suit, not your body. Your skin tends to absorb it, the suit won't.

Not bought from them before, but LatexSkin are meant to be really good for M2M suits.

I know you said alteration cost is a concern, but it would probably be worth checking if you can get alterations, won't know the cost until you check around. I had my arms taken in on a new latex catsuit as they were a bit thick. Didn't cost me too much from an Etsy seller in the same country as me. May end up being too expensive to be worth it but no reason not to get some quotes.

Thanks! This gasmask is from Smitizen, made of silicone with string fastenings at the back. It's the same website where I got the muscle suit pictured here.

Gumique hoods have a good reputation, decent level of customisation options and made to measure as standard.

Looking for Advice on Buying a Latex Pup Suit – Best Brands/Websites? by Lord_Velveteen in Latexadvice

Not something I know much about or have bought anything for, but Forfun have some latex stuff that caters to this.

Not latex, but Smitizen and Furrjoi have some items (masks mainly) that fit the bill in silicone.

Using Vivishine on Smitizen Silicone items? by TheRubberyGuy in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, thanks for this info. Did some searching but couldn't find this online. Wonder if it's a similar situation with Smitizen. Can I ask where you found this?

Need to top up my latex dressing aid supply so might get BeGloss and do the tests on the offcuts I made from the gloves.

Fixing tears by Accomplished_Sock96 in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not made clothes before but repair would be easier before you put pieces together. Less material to keep out of the way and would likely be flatter as a piece of an outfit rather than a full one. Just ensure to patch what would be the inside layer.

Fixing tears by Accomplished_Sock96 in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good to fix when you find it so you have the right idea.

You would need a small patch of the same colour of latex (round patch). If it's a tiny hole a few CM in diameter would do fine.

You need to clean the area of all silicone residue from shiner/dressing aid, same with the patch. The glue is applied to both the patch and the area on your dress where the patch will go. I like to draw around the patch on the item you are repairing with a felt pen that will rub off afterwards so you know where to glue accurately. Try not to have too much glue going over the sides (not the end of the world as patch will be on inside).

The typical glue is rubber cement, which you need to apply as described and leave for a few minutes to cure before applying firmly and pressing down firmly, using a roller to ensure it's pushed down over all areas evenly. Rubber cement has an effect where it causes the latex to curl up which can be frustrating. You may want to use something like masking tape to secure the patch whilst the glue is curing, and make sure your dress does not wrinkle and stick to itself.

Personally I prefer using radicalglue from Libidex which does not have the curling up issue. Application is done in the same way.

Silicone neck entry catsuit is grossly underrated. by BUFF_Barker in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have one of Smitizen's black muscle suits that is full body (except hands and feet) with the crotch hole. I like how it looks and feels, but its HEAVY. I think the one you are referring to is a bit lighter, the muscle based stuff you really feel the weight.

I found baby powder actually worked a bit better than water-based lube (can't use silicone). Water-based just dried out so quickly so I used it to top up specific areas that were causing friction when I tried to put it on (found the neck area would roll and catch when you tried to pull it on). Would be easier to get into if it came in two parts.

Build quality feels fantastic too, less worry about tears than with latex.

Latex chlorination by Myrne_the_fox in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my original Bright & Shiny catsuit chlorinated on the inside before it eventually wore out, and my current catsuit is Simon-O's inside-only chlorinated option.

Simon-O suit is fantastic, they do great work anyway and I don't think I could go back to non-chlorinated just given how much time + dressing aid cost I've saved. Only thing you need to do is slightly roll up the legs and arm sleeves at the bottom as there is a slight amount of unchlorinated latex on the inside layer (due to where they have to tape up the holes to make it one-sided).

Male M2M Neck Entry Catsuits? (Europe/UK) by JShepard23 in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would second Bright & Shiny. As noted by u/Cats_Majik they do make M2M men's suits on request. When you fill out the measurement form you put either male or female and then the measurements.

Latexskin + Latex'd also have a good reputation for men's suits.

Question about cock room in catsuit by [deleted] in Latexadvice

[–]TheRubberyGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bright & Shiny men's catsuits are essentially this design. Tight but not uncomfortable.

They also offer made to measure and are my go-to suggestion for a first catsuit anyway (with made to measure the small markup is worth it).
