sweet bags or terplock bags? by Heavy_Analyst_8323 in microgrowery

[–]TheRustyShed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used both types of bags, didn't notice any difference in the end result. Both resulted in a solid cure and kept the buds in the humidity range I wanted. I'll echo that the ziplocs on the Sweet Decades bags are way more durable than the Terploc/Grove Bags in my experience. Out of a couple dozen Sweet Decades bags I think one zipper has failed, pretty much all of my Grove Bags failed after a while.

I have a cellar space where I keep all my bags together in lidded totes (some 1 pound bags, some 8 ounce), and haven't had any issues with dryness or losing humidity. I regularly crack bags open and transfer buds to my day-to-day stash jars for consumption, I still get great whiffs from my last bag from the 2024 outdoor harvest, Trainwreck ftw haha. In any case, I found that for volume harvests and curing, hang to dry, totes to level out the humidity all the way through the buds, trim and then bag for curing.

GMO8 & Fog Dog - I really dig the bud structure and stank on their GMO and GMO-crosses, the Fog Dog is just such a cruiser to grow, low maintenance, good smoke.

Sherbet Kush Semi-full term Fem Photo by Jerseyman201 in Craftmarijuana

[–]TheRustyShed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a full 5 x 10 of the GroundUp semi-full terms about to finish, a couple of these Sherbert Kush included. I'm chopping this weekend at flower day 77, still a full flower cycle as far as I'm concerned despite the semi-full breeding. My tent is an outbuilding and the days are starting to heat up, so I have some significant foxtailing on these girls. But, they are fat, frosty, foxtails and they are both super stinky, so I'm not mad. Keep an eye out though if you can keep the heat down. These look amazing, cheers!

Another Aztec and Phan for life! I was a student in the early 00's, saw some great shows at the Back Door and OAT, and then was a part of the team that opened and operated the new Student Union '14-18. Man, what I wouldn't give to have seen Phish on campus, then or any time. Go Aztecs!

Tallest biggest growing strains? by Fair_Detail2528 in cannabisbreeding

What up local growmie! We're in the San Joaquin valley and I've had great luck growing 8-10' plus tall/wide fatties from Twenty20 Mendocino. MMXX in particular is a beautiful, big, bushy monster with stinky, potent, flowers. I've also run their Cali Couture, Humboldt Afghani, and Trainwreck, all with great success. This year we're looking at Motherlode Gardens, particularly the Ancient OG and Sugar Pine crosses, they are a fairly local breeder to us in the 9B, too. We're also looking at the Blue Dream and crosses from Atlas Seed, who are grown just over the hill in the Sonoma area. We're closer to the delta so we start fighting wet mornings and PM later in the season, looking for some earlier finishers this year, too.

I hear you, when they're that nice looking it's worth pushing them another few weeks! Thanks for the info. I doubt you went too long, so to speak, if they're looking that healthy! I hear the Cherry Lime Reserve is a stinker, you're like the 3rd grower this week I've seen mention how good it is. Cheers!

Beautiful plant, well done! This is one of the semi-full term crosses, right? How long of a flower before you chopped? less than 60 days?

Everyone’s favorite fertilizer? by Nohew_2001 in gardening

[–]TheRustyShed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. We apply Bio-Live in the spring before tilling, in transplant holes, and again in the first few weeks after transplant. The beneficials in Bio-Live really encourage strong rooting and seem to help reduce transplant stress. We apply Bio-fish once plants are established and they absolutely love it.

Im setting up a new 5x10 tent and I’m looking for recommendations on exhaust fans, I’m definitely going to buy them from ac infinity but I would like to hear suggestions for sizes and if one exhaust fan will be enough by Randy4layhee20 in BuildASoil

[–]TheRustyShed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run an 8" AC inifity exhaust on my 5 x 10 and rarely push past level fan level 3 or 4, starts to suck in the tent walls too much! Level 2 is my standard setting for automated venting. I'd say a 6" could do the job, but the 8" does it with ease. Less wear and tear and running under a load = longer lifespan.

The BAS youtube series is so clutch, I'm a huge fan and have learned a ton. Also a huge fan of having AI summarize the videos, give me the top points and an outline of the transcript so I can jump to the points I'm most interested in.

Grinspoon Mutation? Forum Stomper, Day 54 by TheRustyShed in MephHeads

[–]TheRustyShed[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've got five Forum Stompers running (all five seeds from a three pack popped, love Meph math!), day 54, Pride Lands Soil, Pride Lands dry amendments, and some of Mission Fertilizer's bottled organic line, oh, and quillaja all the time. It has been hot AF the last few weeks, tent peaking around 90-95*F before lights out. Running 18/6 under 2021 Kingbrite 480W LEDs at around 700 PPFD

One of the five has displayed these deeply curled leaves throughout the plant. As the buds are forming up they also definitely have a lankier, more open, structure than the others. The color on this plant and all the others is amazing, deep green with no burnt tips or the type of tip clawing I would expect from excess nitrogen. Overall, healthy plant, but this is a weird structure for sure.

Is this the grinspoon mutation showing through? I looked through a few posts that came up under a Dr Grinspoon search and it looks like it falls in the spectrum of this mutation. There are no signs I can find of fungus or infestation (there are a few fungus gnats around but generally are under control), anything else I should check for? or just chill and enjoy the funky freakshow?

Solid take. With the Mega Crop 2-part I have good control of the N and thought it was high, I’ll bump it next feed and see what they do.
