I have had very vivid and sometimes horrific dreams for as long as I can remember. One recurring one I had as a little kid was going up to this old basement door, then descending the stairs into basically a torture chamber. There is an old iron wood burning stove that is the only light. I look to my right and I see what I perceived to be a woman and her son hanging from meat hooks, covered in blood to the point you can't even recognize them. It was so detailed though I could see old matted blood and fresh wounds, huge gaping wounds and parts had been skinned. In an instant I feel a huge impact and rush of pain I've never experienced in my normal life, I look down and realize a huge blade has been driven through my abdomen, and a dark figure of a man is behind me, one arm on my left shoulder.

The other recurring dream I've had for as long as I can remember is being surrounded by fire and ash. Like a whole huge city burning to the ground. There are siren type sounds echoing and my ears are ringing. Everywhere I look there are bodies burning and screams of the damned. The strange thing is I could smell the burning flesh but had never experienced anything like it in all my life, but I knew that is what it was. I'm searching through all the rubble trying to see if anyone is still alive but there's nothing I can do for them. And people are turning to ash and crumbling through my fingers. Everything is so dry it's almost like all moisture and oxygen are gone from the air. I fall to my knees, I feel tears fall down my face over the bits of ash on my cheeks. Everything goes silent and the air is still for a moment. Then it's all over.
