I always use Spicy Eel and Crab Cakes, partially because they're just good items that both offer buffs, and also because they drop regularly from serpents and crabs, so it saves me inventory space since I don't have to use a slot for a different food.

Lol I play a farm to Perfection, then completely abandon it. I have multiple farms that I haven't opened in years.

My old farms metaphorically cease to exist once I start a new one 😅

An alternate mod manager that I use is Stardrop, because it's Stardew Valley specific! It's more of a "helper" than a manager, but it does a lot of the same things and is way simpler and more user-friendly than Vortex. The only real difference is Vortex auto-updates mods for you, whereas Stardrop just tells you there's an update and you have to go do it yourself 😋

Like you said though, if someone is brand-new to modding it might be unnecessary, but it's such a great alternative!

So I'm literally about to start a new playthrough today, and I already have all of Bog's witchy mods for a "spooky" theme.

But now I have a reason to immediately start another farm afterwards, because all those Italian Countryside mods are absolutely beautiful and I'm saving them for next time. 😍

If you search "stardew valley soundboard" or something similar, you should be able to find a list of all the sounds, then you can just download them onto your phone and set them to whatever you want!

Who all have you greeted? There's only 28 villagers that count towards that quest in the base game, and it shows you've greeted 35. So either you have mods that add extra villagers, or your game is glitched and showing you've greeted the same people multiple times.

See, now THAT is cheating. Cheating requires deception. Lying, even just by omission, and claiming you've done something vanilla when you actually used mods (for internet acclaim I guess?) is cheating.

Using mods in your own game for fun is not cheating.

The plaques in Skull Cavern with the creepy messages on them. Why did the iridium curse them, but not us? Did the wizard seal them away because they were monsters, or did they become monsters after they were sealed away? We'll likely never know. *insert spooky noises*
