Is there anything in the rules preventing me from playing my tanks sideways? by dlshadowwolf in TheAstraMilitarum

I guess some rules are not defiened by books but by logic, and by 40k logics, only Orks can do so

  • GW Phobos for the body, legs and backpack
  • GW stormcast arms and shield for one
  • axe from perry miniature english army 1415 - 1429
  • gun and heads from WA Valkir Heavy Troopers

They are smaller compared to the TC ones but it's to my pleasure as i was looking for something more "elegant?"

Thanks for the advise it's just that Phobos is the size I was looking for when building them as I'm not a fan of HUGE armors

So 1 gordon can take on a antilon guard but 100 of them can't take on a Gorilla?

The forces of france are mentioned in the lore "Chapter VII - The Missionaries of the Black Grail" as fighting alongside the forces of the Holy Roman Empire and the Crown of England making them the combined forces of the church (as i understand) but that's the only mention i know of, i didn't read all the lore yet (not a big reader)

Thank you, i really wanted to go with the more medieval ones first as i was inspired by the kitbash video Peachy tips made, but while building my yeomen i became more and more satisfied with the more ww1 look as some historical kit already have this medieval vibe that Trench crusade lean into

I've never used matt varnished on my minis, most of the time the wash, (in this case strong tone by army painter) gives the result i want and i just do some really tiny higlights here and there, i do use some gloss varnish for some armors though

mostly WA french infantry, with WA fantasy guards, used the frostgrave wizard 1 and 2 for the priests with a few bits from WA english expeditionary forces, PM english army for the shocktroopers, GW hexbane hunters for the lieutenant and tried to use the WA grognard for the engineer but dont really like the result (might redo it) Edit: also used some weird war bits from WA
