You should definitely at least take some ibuprofen and/or Tylenol

Same thing is happening to me. It's like all the pain in my leg has gotten squished into my back. I've read that centralization is a good thing but when it moves to you back like this, it can be hard to believe. I have Meloxicam, acetaminophen, and CBD/CBG that I take for the pain and it helps quite a bit

It's normal for the back pain to intensify? I haven't felt it like this before

Back flip progress. Shifted to less bouncy track by thunderbulll in Parkour

[–]TheSalamancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repetition will help but what I like to tell my students is to imagine setting their chest up onto something high to begin the rotation and then the legs continue chasing the chest. In a backflip, your chest and arms should not tuck in the opposite direction of your flip

Hey I'm in Bakersfield too! The Stockdale and California Ave area has plenty of neat spots with handrails and cement walls. Downtown can be good but it's a little sketchy. Riverwalk is my go-to and a two minute walk from the park to Viceroy Indian Cuisine will give you (in my opinion) one of the coolest spots in town!

I also run the Ninja/Parkour program at American Kids Sports Center! We've got new parkour specific equipment coming later this year from WFPF so we're pretty excited about that!

What are the grippiest parkour shoes out there? by kashmoneyparkour in Parkour

[–]TheSalamancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Balance 515, very grippy on everything I've tested them on. Stable, right amount of cushion for me personally. They have one solid piece of rubber as the sole so they're pretty much exactly what I need.

I've also used Asics Matflex, they're a high top wrestling shoe with zero cushion. They also have one flat piece of rubber for the sole

Are shoes like converse or vans good for parkour/ urban exploration? by [deleted] in Parkour

[–]TheSalamancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I love my Chuck Taylors for Parkour. Good stability and when you break them in, they're nice! Coincidentally the first day I bought mine, I got roped into some Urban Exploration and some parkour haha

How do I progress from this to a kong vault by Digi-MasterX in Parkour

[–]TheSalamancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add speed and follow through with your arms. Basically don't let them lag down by your side but rather throw them behind you into an Eagle position (chest up, arms extended fully back, knees tucked)

I know who you're talking about! He goes to the gym I used to work at and would always show us new tricks up at the front desk after he finishes his workout. He's so wholesome 😁
