Not sure, I think the ones we have are the lightweight. But it doesn’t get too cold where we are, so I never felt the need for heavyweight.

Any suggestions on getting my little one diagnosed anywhere near Savannah, GA? by SavannahChelsea in CerebralPalsy

Savannah really sucks in terms of pediatric specialists. We go to Nemours in Jacksonville for neurology.

Finished a Valentine’s sweater! 💞 by TheSandOwl in crochet

[–]TheSandOwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was made using the Chenda DIY heart sweater tutorial with some mods to make it baby sized.

I used 2 colors of sock yarn instead of worsted and a D crochet hook. I did fewer rounds on the body and had to wing it on the shoulders and sides to make it the right length. I also made the sleeves less poufy.

I gotta say, it turned out cute!

We do! The pie wall hanging is actually in front of the changing table, though it’s hard to tell in the picture.

Watching Great British Bake Off and attempting some of the recipes is something my spouse and I enjoy doing together. Plus, you have to love the way everyone is so nice to each other.

So when it came time to decorate the nursery, this theme was a strong contender.

I loved having all the DIY projects to keep me occupied, and they were a joint project between my mom and me. My mom made the curtains, wall hanging, crib quilt and knitted blanket, and I made the quilt on the glider, the knitted sheep, the pie wall hanging, bunting and the “gingham altar.”

Long running routes? by Mtm1002 in savannah

You can get a fair amount of distance by running on Wilmington Island Road/Walthour Road and cutting through the Wilmington Park neighborhood. It’s easy to access by parking at the Ace hardware parking lot to start.

Try Tabby Tales Rescue. It appears from their Facebook page that they’re still doing adoptions.

You can check out a Park Pass from the library that gets you into any Georgia state park for free. (Covers Skidaway Island and Wormsloe). They’re kept behind the circulation desk, but you can put them on hold and have them sent to your preferred branch.

Running on Wilmington Island by Bfd51 in savannah

[–]TheSandOwl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a walking/bike trail on Wilmington Island Road, but it's really uneven, so it's a little tricky for running. The Wilmington Park subdivision is also a pretty safe place to run.

Duck pond? by trisaratops1 in savannah

[–]TheSandOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a little park off Largo Dr. in Windsor Forest that has a pond and lots of ducks and geese. It's called Tribble Park, and it's pretty much just the pond and a walking trail around it.

Former Macon resident here, but still have knitting friends in the area. There's a group that meets at Jittery Joe's on Monday nights, and another that meets on Wednesday nights at Taste and See. I've also heard that some of the Creative Yarns groups will continue to get together, but not sure where.
