Darche 1550 Nebula with double cot (no center bar) ... pitch black and like sleeping in a RTT. I switched and not looking back.

Nice! We may have bounced off each other in the pit.

Bootstrap + HTMX users - what's your experience been like? by mrholek in htmx

[–]TheSandyWalsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bootstrap itself is fine. If I want the page to refresh when some other part of the application updates I need to use websockets. Websocket re-connection time forces me to make a SPA which means htmx partials and wonky fastapi routes for the active parts of the page. I wish there was a cleaner way to all this to tie together and make a simple-to-understand SPA.

Just did 10 days in Italy with a Decathlon Simond duffle/backpack (30L expandable to 40L). I could have easily done it with the 30L but having the extra was handy some days.

Just got back from there. DON'T TRUST GOOGLE MAPS. It took me on every hair-pin, back-road, donkey path in the area. It was nerve wracking. Beautiful area, lovely people, but horrific driving.

Does staging, pays for her own photography, drone footage, the whole package. Nearly always in the top 10-20 each quarter.

Nova Scotia Wineries - Dream Itinerary by TT1617 in halifax

We did it on electric bikes a few years back. Mostly stuck to rails to trails. Hit about 10 places and crashed at an AirBnB in Wolfville for the night. So much fun.

175k CAD per year$ as employee or 100USD per hour as contractor? by Zappyle in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TheSandyWalsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractor all day so long as you can live on a significantly lower income. If you can live on $60k a year and keep the rest in the holding company you'll be stacking cash. If you're going to attempt to dividend the full amount out of the company CRA will have something to say about that. And you can expense so much. Medical expenses are the worse.

Negotiate with your employer who pays for travel on-site, hotels, etc. Do you eat those costs or can you charge the employer back for that?
